Keir Starmer

Labour are still in civil war, Leader of Newcastle has been de-selected by a pro Corbyn hit squad in his ward due to his close ties to Starmer and other leading lights of the opposition.
Guess it depends on who they vote for if there was an election tomorrow.

My optimistic view on things are that this Tory govt is so shambolic that people would be prepared to elect a Lab government that is diluted socialism, and they can nudge left from there. Rightly or wrongly, I just don't think the UK electorate will go for a radical shift left. The media, as they did with Corbyn, would be screaming about us all ending up in gulags and make it a complete non-starter. It's a case of supporting what's least far away from my views rather than trying to vote for something that's perfectly aligned with me. And surely anything is better than this shower of shit, and Starmer seems best places to supplant them.
Imagine for one second the British public deciding that they’d prefer to keep the current shower to the other shower.. Labour surely wouldn’t recover from that

It's a democratic process withing the rule book of the labour party that they've been removed by. As have some "pro Corbyn" members removed from their positions by deselection. Which happened more in the past year.

Which is the crux of my post the party still has issues within and it will intensify the closer it gets to major elections.

I will be advocating for an 80/20 election approach. If we can get that agreed as manifesto policy it should get the Tory majority down.

Got a couple of years to work on it.

I just think as a society we are so fractured and we have so many things we have to deal with, that it's all going to be too much.

I've not got kids currently, but have serious reservations about having any.
Don't ever think that you shouldn't have kids.
My kids, your kids, everyones' kids are the future. They have the energy to change things. Make things better.

Some of us should have listened a bit more to our blue brothers when we had the chance.

Shamefully I voted for this ****. First time ever I voted Tory because I just couldn’t vote for Corbyn and of course because of brexit.

I’ve admitted my mistake in voting for the fuck up that was brexit.

Im also willing to own the fact I voted for this fucking whopper.

Shame on me.
It takes courage to admit your mistakes.
You deserve praise for that.
