Of course they have, or at least it feels that way to us. The best part is though, if you asked a United fan, they would tell you how they feel they never get decisions. It's what we do as fans and we can be quite blinkered. I don't think the media influence decisions, I think they may try to but apparently the whole system is corrupt anyway, so why would they need the media to influence them......
I will happily backtrack as I don't want abuse from fellow blues for simply stating I didn't think it was a red.

Of course the media influence decisions. Football authorities respond to the media & if you can’t fathom that then it’s pointless talking. Same reason Managers make points in press conference ahead of games.

Neville dedicated a MNF to our "dark arts" before a derby the following weekend. We won, 3-1 and comfortably, zero influence on the referee. They can try to influence them but I don't see how it does, it is pointless talking because you completely ignored the logic that goes with that. Why would they need the media to influence them, if they are already corrupt?

My name is a reference to our 4 in a row, a line our club used to indirectly mock Trent and his "their trophies mean more" statement. Mad username for a rag to have really isn't it.

Only takes 30 seconds to read any posts to figure out I'm clearly not. The same amount of time it takes the detectives to check joining dates.
That's fine, but on a forum for fans, being biased towards us is the norm, as it should be. There are some contrarians on here and, frankly, I don't have much time for them.
To those, I say go and post your alternative views somewhere else. That's not really aimed at you, by the way, as long as you don't carry on calling this place a cesspit!
Of course, debate and differing opinions are fine, but I'm sure that some people just do it for the sake of it.

on the beeb commentary feed:

"You cannot go from 2-0 up to 3-2 down if you are Manchester United."

Why the fuck not? Talk about veneering the arrogant, unwarranted sense of entitlement.
Exactly.

As the footballing genius that was Alan (Peter Cook) Latchley put it in his famous interview with Clive Anderson, you have to take the rough with the smooth, the ups with the downs, in equal measure (or as in our case between 1976-2010, the rough with the downs..!!):

"Football is, is, she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring - yes, she can bring the kettle to the boil.."

I think that says it all, for all of us in love with football..

At the end of Chelsea's match report tonight on the BBC is this quite bizarre paragraph.

"In fact, a report from the Transferroom website suggested that Chelsea's squad, valued at £1.1bn, is worth as much as the Conference League's other 35 team combined.

They are, therefore, strong favourites to claim glory in Europe this season. That estimated squad value is nothing for the Blues to be ashamed of - but merely highlights how European football is changing with England's top flight dominant, especially when facing teams from outside the continent's big five leagues."

I look forward to the same friendly editorial leanings when we next play a "minnow".

Sky Sports’ write up about the “Making of Morgan Rogers” is written to subtly disparage his time at City (sending him out on loan), with some suspect quotes from Brian Barry-Murphy.

Quelle surprise.

Another red for him, will he get this one overturned?

It will be 'Obscene', ' ghastly' you know the drill pal

MUEN ran with a story that said Barcelona eyeing up Haaland and possibly Neymar. BUT, they then say that Barcelona plagued with financial issues and City unlikely to want to sell etc etc. A total non story designed to get clicks. Its like running a headline that Hitler is planning on making a come back, but then saying because he's dead this is unlikely to happen. Most football sports journalism is garbage.

To be fair, only 99% of it.
