He’s far from shit, he’s a brilliant player but sadly not a brilliant Manchester City player.
It happens. Some players, regardless of individual ability just don’t fit into how we play and I think Nunes probably comes into that category. Not too dissimilar to Cole Palmer in that regard.
 
Nunes if he hasn't already needs to get a talking to like this:



I really want to see better press from him.

Palmer scored a few and looked the part before we let him go.

Literally no comparison whatsoever, mate.

My point was Palmer is a bit of a maverick who wants to play on the front foot. He’s not disciplined enough to work in a Pep team and isn’t going to put in the defensive shift often needed from our front players.
Nunes is a bit similar in that regard, loves to be on the front foot but struggles with the all round game that’s needed to be in our starting 11.
Palmer had as many anonymous appearances for us as he did eye catching.
I’ll stick to my initial thoughts that both are very good players but not very good Manchester City players.
That’s my comparison.

Nunes is a player that I never regarded as being up to the quality that City require, & I've seen little since his arrival to change my mind.

Moreover, I've also begun to sense a little attitude from him, as if he's pissed off because he deserves to be playing more. He does. But alas, just not for Manchester City Football Club.

An expensive mistake. We need to cut our losses & move on which I can see happening next summer.

Without wanting to repeat myself, I think he’s a very good footballer with bags of ability. Those abilities don’t translate well for a City side so yes, he’s probably not quite good enough for City but a good player nonetheless.
I didn’t think it was that confusing.
 
Minimal game time today but made a vital challenge near the end to stop them having a shot in the area.

Hope we see more of him soon personally. His energy and pace would be good to see and I think would benefit those around him. Especially Haaland.
 
Should have come on 15 minutes earlier. Game was crying out for his energy. On the pitch for an inconsequential amount of time but still feel he had a small impact. One very good interception/block tracking a man very late on in a similar position to where they scored their second. Just having him sprinting to get out to attackers and pressure them whilst the rest were fucked and standing off made an impact. Peps got to start using him more, we can't have peripheral figures when we've got such a tiny squad.

Completely agree. Gundogan, Kovacic, and Bernardo are willing runners but just don’t have the stride to get back, and Foden and Lewis are still building up the stamina required to shuttle box-to-box on a regular basis. It doesn’t have to be a full 15 minutes earlier, but even when de Bruyne returns, we need to recognise that the legs of the senior pkayers have 5-10 minutes less in them than they had before.
 
I think he needs to speak to Fernandinho

He will tell him listen " I was an attacking midfielder with Shakhtar, CM with Pellegrini and DM with Pep and thats how to do it "
 
Odds on him being sold and Amorim, his biggest fan coming in after pep? lol

Fernandinho was always a hard man though don't think you can say that about nunes tbf
