The Cooper song is a disgrace but we don't sympathise or support terrorists or the death of British soldiers
I hate that song, as I did with the song about the Lisbon lions dying before Christmas. But I don’t tar all the Rangers fans for it. Similarly I won’t be tarred and many like me with a broad sweep.

You can't deny that a large percentage of Celtic fans are terrorist sympathisers and absolute scum though.

Why fly a Palestinian flag supporting terrorism?
Why support the iRA?
Why fly flags celebrating the death of British soldiers?

You won't convince me that a large part of the most vocal Celtic supporters aren't prejudiced, terrorist supporters. If you even try to, your lying to yourself. Your club are an embarrassment to Scottish football, great football team, horrible support.

I must add I don't in full blame the fans who don't support terrorism and the political stance of the GB but.. they also have alot to answer for and should challenge the situation. A huge amount of blame must lie with the club and the SFA for tolerating and allowing politics and the supporting of terrorism in football stadiums

A significant portion of the Celtic support don't see the IRA or indeed Hamas as terrorists mate.

I assume you want to include the support of the UVF UDA etc in the whole fans who support terrorism thing, not to mention anti Irish racism. Both sides can fuck right off. It is fucked up in the 2020s to witness 4000 fans all bounce along singing about the IRA, a lot of whom have zero experience of the troubles. Fucking low life vermin.

Keep all politics and terrorism support out of football

Two cheeks of the same shitty arse. They both have a sectarian element in their support. And they seem unable/unwilling to move on. But that can be said about the West of Scotland generally. There's pockets of that part of the country that are sectarian. Time to move on folks; it's the 21st century.

Wtf has this got to do with Rangers?

You’re quoting a Hibs fan. They are the club who introduced sectarianism into Scottish football

They have one of the scummiest supports in Scotland

I won’t be lectured to by somebody who wouldn’t condemn throwing glass bottles at players or covering Ibrox with stickers mocking the 66 who died in the disaster!

Both clubs thrive off it and they need each other. What compounds it is you see folk with zero connection to Ireland (north or south) trying so desperately to be what they think folk from there are like. Element? It’s the majority and goes to the top at each club.

It's the Scottish football thread, not the Rangers one. Are you denying that what I said is true? Koniec raised the issue, I replied. If you take offence at it, feel free to report it. I'm not going to argue all evening about it.

Watched Morton v Ayr last night on the box and one of the sets of fans ( couldnt make out which ) were singing their version of we never win at home, we never win away.

Never heard another club singing that song.
I’d take a guess at Morton

Ex Dundee United chairman Steven Thompson was declared bankrupt yesterday. Great start to the weekend…..

The insane thing about this is that most people in Ireland have little or no interest in either team or the league.

Well that’s not true as there are literally thousands who travel over to Ibrox for every game

Maybe in some small sections in NI but most could not careless about either of them or their league, English Prem is king.

Watched the wee team game this afternoon.
They are woeful.
A dissallowed goal in ijury time that took ages to rule out despite being well offside the highlight.

I’ve lived in Belfast and I know there are huge numbers of Rangers supporters clubs.

As for the EPL it’s really just United and Liverpool who have numbers anywhere comparable to Rangers.

Obviously I am only talking about Northern Ireland. There are a few Rangers supporters clubs in the South but the numbers there would be dwarfed by United / Liverpool
