PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It doesn't matter one iota what the result of the panel is. In a lot of football fans and pundits eyes we'll be guilty.

That's my point really, if we get found guilty the cracks will turn into chasms and the world view of some of these idiots that follow cult like football teams will swallow them.

They will have to find another tactic against us and they will.

I read somewhere (probably not a reliable source)that every club that played in the PL over the last 15 years, 34 or 35 of them, are potentially reserving the right for damages.

Makes you wonder why we as a footballing nation didn't sue the arse off the scousers for preventing English teams plying their trade abroad for 5 years after they killed 39 people.

Every club that has played in the PL since the first charge could, but in reality it would be very hard to prove that one club lost more than another, short of the PL taking every point of us during the entire time of the charges, it is a can of worms that could take decades for a formula to be agreed. Not that it is going to happen, But the date has passed now and while we do not know who, or how many, it is thought that the vast amount of clubs believe the cost outweigh the benefits, or they do not trust the strength of the PL case, as it seems a low uptake.

when it all ends...

"and finally, on behalf of my client MCFC, may I thank the panel for their forbearance, fortitude, and endurance whilst listening to the tsunami of horse shit otherwise known as the PL charges. We await your full exonoration with great anticipation, hoping it will be as rapid as David Coote running through Lime Street station for the next train to anywheres..."

Dozens of clubs have admitted breaching FFP rules in the last decade, others have admitted breaking rules about using ineligible players or fallen foul of other PL regulations. You could argue that all these cases could have affected a club's final position in the league table and so impacted on everyone financially. So why is it just City being targeted by other clubs for possible legal action (assuming we are even "found guilty.") Or is it just part of the relentless negative campaign (driven by people with dubious motives) we have suffered for years?

How do you reserve a right for damages? Is it like putting your towel on the sunbed?
Mate was on holiday with his in-laws the dad was pissed off with the early towel placers so, one morning he threw some towels in the pool, later his daughter came into breakfast fuming as she found their towels in the pool. He didn't admit it till they got back

It's the not knowing. I've just sent this email request to the IRDC:-

info@idrc.co.uk

Please could you reply immediately after the PL v MCFC hearing has completed. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter as the suspense has had a detrimental impact on my mental health, physical health, marriage, bank account and sex life.

Many thanks
Leonardo da Vinci

I'm sure they will co-operate fully with my perfectly reasonable request. When they do, I'll jump on here pronto !
I reckon your elbow is welcoming the much needed rest

It's just lawyers being lawyers, time barring applies to any claims so they're just being diligent. Most cases aren't as "historical" as ours, so I suppose it's not normally necessary.
