I'm sorry. I've been saying this for years. At these levels, you can't have a player who just can't score or assists. He can keep the ball-great, get some fouls, fight and help the defense, that's very nice. But he is not providing any numbers.

#10 at Manchester City, on such a crazy salary, with 100M price tag, should give much, much, much more than that.

He just seems to have regressed back into that 21/22 season where he's just a passenger on the team.

I've defended him as much as anyone, but we simply need more from him because right now it's not like he's even dragging players out of position and creating gaps.

He's just...there.

Needs to be played more centrally, he isn’t a winger

What is he? And give me proof of that position you think he is. Because when we bought him at Villa, he was their LW.

"he’s been a LW for his entire Premier League career. That’s the role he’s been thriving in (or trying to) since stepping into the top flight.

Unless, of course, people want to dig up ancient history and reminisce about his younger years in the Championship at Villa, back when he wasn’t even facing the same level of competition."

Nonetheless, we might as well play him centrally, what do we got to lose, it is a s*** show anyway.

Didn’t play left winger for England recently

Txixi's first fuck up.

The chase race of the through pass in dying minutes was hilarious. Overall, he was the better half of the team today. Silva had a shocker today

Will he become a 15-20 goals/assists a season player if he plays centrally?
If the answer is no. And I'll give you a spoiler, the answer is no, then everything I said before still applies. I'm not saying he's not a good player. He can't play as a winger, AM or a striker for elite club like Manchester City if he doesn't provide numbers.

And I'm not even saying that because of the game today. I'm not blaming him for it. He's just not capable of scoring goals.
The ball comes to him in the box and I don't even expect there to be a goal, I just hope we win a corner or something. I won't even talk about kicks outside the box.

He has never got those numbers though, so surely nobody is surprised he hasn't all of a sudden become this goalscoring winger people expect.

Pep wanted him, badly enough to break transfer records and waited several weeks for him to sign. It wasn't for his goal scoring was it.

Remember the great pass from Nunes where any attacking player in the world would have a 1v1 (which would've meant 4-0 for us)? Except Grealish of course, because he needs 3 full seconds whenever he is in front of goal. Genuinely, I am astonished of how he transforms a 1v1 into a corner where he didn't even attempt a shot.
Him perfectly in five seconds. Then he smiled.
That F*&^ed me off big time.

Amazing how you remembered 2 passes misplaced 1 month ago and 1 pass last night from a total sh**show which would be fine one if Akanji did not run away. The ball was miles away from Spurs player and very close to Akanji if he did not doge the position.

Yeah and conveniently forgetting the passes Josko Foden Rico and Gundo etc all misplaced during the game but yes you cannot wait to jump on Grealish's back because you hate him so much since the day he joined.
It's amazing how I recalled him passing the ball straight to the opposition leading to a goal? Yeah because that's such a minor thing right? And the collective groans and moans from the entire crowd when he did that were also imaginary right?

Blaming Akanji for Grealish passing the ball directly to the opposition is absolutely wild.

Why would I or anybody else bring up 4 other players in a thread specifically to discuss Grealish? You have a truly unhinged desire to absolve him of any and all criticism even when the criticism is as simple as don't fucking pass the ball directly to the opposition winger for him to run in on goal and provide a tap in

Shit again tonight. Talks a good game but has had maybe 6 decent months in the past 4 seasons. Always getting fouled because he can’t release the ball quick enough.

34 goals & assists in 137 games. Sterling would have got that in a year. £100mil and £300k a week. Awful.

Looks destined not to score in 2024 after his volley hits Foden and he then hits the bar
