This slow passing, Gundo, Rico bla bla will make us 10th in the league and out of every competition. Sadly

It’s not about injuries. It’s about injury. Our team depends on one player. The problem is we didn’t do anything to cover him. And we lost Alvarez providing no replacement.

either you try SOMETHING, anything, or give up. but its been 2 months of trying the same thing over and over.

I think this one of those rare moments where the manager and the board need to take a look in the mirror and have a bit of self realization.

The squad year upon year has been eroded in both size and quality. The manager is constantly shrinking the size but is supplementing it with players he doesn't fundamentally trust.

This means that Bernardo, Walker, Gundogan, KDB and Rodri etc have all had to play far too many minutes. It's created injuries and fatigue which are now plaguing the squad. It was a dereliction of duty in the summer to not buy a six but they did it.

Everyone is saying this years a transition, but to what? We've barely bought any young players in recent years, the midfield tonight had a combined age of 97. If Rodri played instead of Gundo it would have been 93.

You cannot keep running footballers into the ground and expect them to be able to play high intensity footballers. The legs have fallen off this team and I think unless we remedy it by signing players in January it'll get worse.

The manager has to increase the size of the squad, if not he has to have an 18 of players that he actually trusts.

Of course he doesn't know how to fix it, not with the injuries to the defence and Rodri missing, this system doesn't work with the current players but he's refused to change it because he's a live by the sword die by the sword type of guy, we're going have to live with it this season, hopefully things will change when Rodri comes back or we buy a couple of midfielders than can fit straight in though I doubt that.
 
Continuing to persist with the same tactics is ridiculous. Has come up with playing a false 9, fullbacks and centrebacks stepping in to midfield but seems at a complete loss on how to change things when the going has got tough. Teams have worked the tactics out and can now easily nullify it, can’t keep a clean sheet and devoid of any real attacking threat

Why is he STILL persisting with a system that needs physicality and discipline with players who aren't up to the job? It's glaringly obvious to all but him, it seems.

Pep needs to figure out how to get the best out of the players we have available, and simply put he has not.

We have a group of defenders too slow or too fragile to play a high line, so change it – Walker will never put a decent cross in, and when he's that far forward he gets skinned by pace, so take the decision out of his hands and play deep.
We have a group of midfielders who are easily bossed off the ball, so change it - put a double pivot in and make sure at least one has some real energy ... Jack could do the job there on recent evidence.

But in general I think the squad has too few players and too little energy. So we need to figure out what the best is that we can get from this squad, and for me it is playing tight and conservative. Slog through some ugly 0-0s and get to the window where we can buy the pace and control Pep needs to make his system work.
 
Because somebody is bound to take this literally, Im not saying this is the case and i dont believe it to be the case but It's like (like being a key word here) he doesn't want to be here anymore. This is the behaviour of managers at other clubs who know the game is up and just waiting on the pay out.

Same absolutely shit tactics that remarkably leaves us wide open like a Sunday league side whilst simulatenously offering no threat whatsoever. The squad he has fit and available should never in a million years have 1 win in 10.

Change something! It's clear we cannot play the way he wants with what we've got so stop setting us up to fail, give us a more rigid defensive unit that don't fly off chasing balls high up constantly. Have us play more direct football to actually crrate a goalscoring chance or two and don't play walking football where we create nothing and the opposition just waits relatively untroubled for the inevitable error that allows them to pounce and score.

Is he really going to just keep setting us up to get hammered every week for another month until we can perhaps do something in the window?
 
What i find kind of weird is that the extension had no effect at all. I thought it would breathe life into the squad.
