Not a chance we’re selling that many first team players. We’d be losing so much experience and winners.
Ederson, Walker and Gundo are very likely to leave. KDB too unless he shows he can be able to stay fit for an extended period. Bernardo has wanted out for years, would make a lot of sense to replace him next summer and get some fresh legs while we still can get a little money for him. Can see one of Stones/Ake going as you can’t rely on either, which is a problem when you have a small squad. Grealish might be the most unlikely one to leave from that list, but no goals in 44 games is an incredibly bad return no matter how you look at it.

I think next summer (and January too for that matter) it’s time to be ruthless and make some tough decisions. Squad right noe is too thin and too old, Rodri being injured isn’t the only problem. In Peps first season he got rid of Joe Hart who was a fan favourite, we need to see some of that ruthlessness. We need a rebuild similar to 17/18 and 18/19 season

Newcastle won't sell mid season. Put your fishing rods away. And besides that we weren't interested first time around to activate his release clause.

They have to if they want to bring players in, which from the outside looks like they need to do, they are going backwards.

That is from the club's perspective.

Looking from the players perspective

The reality is out of all the names in this paragraph Ederson and Grealish are the only two who did contact other teams and got to the negotiate stage in the past summer. Saudi and Spurs respectively. The offered prices did not meet City's expectation.

Bernado wanted to leave but PSG/Barca refused to put money on him.

I would be very surprised anyone willing to pay for Stones.

Walker will leave.

Gundo will score a banger in May and get another season ...

next summer Ederson Grealish and Bernado will have their wish. Walker and KDB will retire to somewhere else. Halaand will force a leave with his release clause. Gundo Stones and Ake will go nowhere.

When he signed, one of the journos stated Gundo's contract would be extended if he played a certain amount of games/minutes. Wouldn't surprise me if he's near that now. His comeback hasn't panned out as expected but I hope he sticks around to become Pep's assistant coach

Totally agree with what you have wrote here. Its time to be ruthless. Tough decisions are needed and some that may raise a few eyebrows in the process.

Hopefully we don't spend all window on Zubimendi I don't think he will ever leave Spain best bet to go get that ricci from Torino

Yep, I certainly wouldn't extend his playing contract for the 2nd season, he's come back playing as though he's aged 10 years
