bit like that Feyenoord goal when he came out and jumped outside the box but not getting the ball or get a card at least but keep the lead.

here the red card wasnt and option due to inside the box, but he came out than backtracked which was the best thing for the attacker.

by the way this Amad guy cannot believe how lucky situations we got him in last 5 minutes twice in a row. give away the ball to him and then Nunes jumping in there for the pen, and then a long ball like that where defenders late and and GK not doing much.
Yes, having seen it back he should have just come and got ghe ball. Terrible mistake again

Give him his lucrative move to Saudi.

Get Donnarumma from PSG. He enters his final year of contract in 2025.

Eddie is a great keeper when we are in total control of games. Now we are sub standard he isn't the keeper we need.

Not a problem for this season. He is our better keeper out of Ortega but it is down to Pep to decide who to stick with for continuity purposes. That would include the Cup and Champions League games.

In any game with Onana, if you're more worried about the other gk doing something stupid then you've got problems. Has done nothing to explain why Ortega was dropped back to bench. Past performance is not an indicator of future results.

Just for you....

Donnarumma faces a lot more shots per game than Eddie and has a lot better save percentage. And more clean sheets.

To say he is shit is very wide of the mark.

Have never rated him as a goalkeeper, his strengths are with the ball at his feet and in that regard he is one of the very best. But as a goalkeeper he’s like a hologram half the time. He's rash and often miss times and misjudges. That said, like the rest of them he gets my support when he’s on the pitch.

What on earth was he doing for their second goal today?

Well, he’s not a bad keeper though his statistics have been enhanced by the team that until lately has been playing in front of him. His distribution skill are, or could be an asset, but how often this season have benefitted from a fifty yard precise pass. The way we play sees him routinely using 10-20 yard passes that most keepers are capable of. If we want to make the most of his distribution skills we need fast direct attackers who can outpace defenders from the halfway line.

I just don’t rate him as a keeper. He's a liability when we’re on the back foot at times.

Totally agree with the rest though, mate. My frustration is that we have a player, and potentially some of those players that would benefit from a 50/60 yard pass but the system were utilising just won’t allow it. Haaland should be screaming at him to drop the ball in the opposition’s half occasionally.

We had a composed keeper building confidence, and Pep subs him out for a keeper that was absolute shit in Europe and who might be gone to Saudi by years end

Pep masterclass.

Amazed by the amount of snide posts aimed at Pep in the last few weeks.

How quickly people turn...

There’s no manager in world football I’d rather have, especially right now.

But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t call a spade a spade. Pep benched a keeper who was steadying the ship for one who just came off a very poor performance, and likely unsettled both.

He gets things wrong. We should call them out.

Think he needs dropping and staying dropped.
His attitude of dint give a fuck which many lauded as one of his big qualities is coming to the fore now but in the wrong way, I think he wanted away in sumner but we wouldn’t accept a low fee, he looks to me not to give a shit, his passing is nowhere near his levels of years gone by. The way we play at the moment Ortega is a better option because we don’t need defence splitting passes we need a good shot stopper who doesn’t get caught in no man’s land.
