PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

One trillion per cent, yes.

In the unlikely event that we’re found guilty of the most serious charges then the owners would have to go, inevitably. But they are not City. They are custodians.

Those of us long enough in the tooth supported CITY long before they arrived and will continue to do so no matter what.

And I can also live with a purge of the plastics and day trippers filming the match on their iPads.
Fukin great post

I really love ManCity football club. I’m not a Manc but I love the Manchester people. Travelling often from the South West to Manchester. Walking into Mary D’s feeling that amazing atmosphere is incredible. Walking around the concourse before the game talking to people, locals, who know their football. Inside the stadium. Feeling the atmosphere as the ground fills up. De Bruyne and Foden live, destroying oppositions defences. Those amazing European nights as the rain lashes down. The opposition wilting in the storm of attacking football.

Pep on the touchline waving his arms controlling the orchestra of attacking football. Wow! What a feeling as the ball flies into the goal sending eruptions of pure joy permeating around the pitch. After the game sometimes 6 hours cramped in a minibus only to get home and watch the game again. What a club. Those wonderful teams our management have created over the years.

All those amazing trophies. So many, we have all been spoilt. What a team. The envy of everyone who doesn’t support City. Sure we have hit a bad patch, but for me the excitement continues as Pep builds another new team to once again dominate!
Do I love my club? Is the Pope religious?

Seconded!!!

If city is indeed guilty of cheating
What will people do

Do you think you will still support the club ?
In a game where diving, faking injury, abuse of the referee, appealing for a penalty if the ball goes anwhere near a finger let alone an arm, professional fouls etc are commonplace I think cheating is pretty much part of the DNA of football. If we have cheated financially in a multi billion pound business then common sense alone tells me we won't be the only ones, we just got caught. So, if anything it will harden our support.

I know we all have our favourites, but that Mary D's feeling is special.

Just so long as you don't want a cocktail of course !!

I'd give a hearty fuck off to any fair weather so called supporters who stopped supporting. We'd be stronger for it and the IQ of this board might have a chance to rise above the level of qualifying for government benefits.
It's time for our owners realised this is not there club it is ours and no matter what we ( I hope) as fans will be here long after they go we are City supporters fans and we will always be there for our team.
I have been and always will be a fanatic blue it's in my life from day to day it literally has been so much of my life.

Rant over ; )

Don’t think we can accuse our owners of trying to take our club off us. Unlike the Glazers, they take nothing out & put everything they can in!!

Brilliant post.
The great Johnny Cash has a song on Youtube called 'Hurt'. The first line is 'I hurt myself today to see if I still feel'. Pretty deep hey. Well this club of ours has given us some of the best and worst days of our life. We certainly still feel and fuck me, what a ride it is.

You did fuck all wrong mate. Regulars know you aren't a bullshitter. You're getting shit because people don't like the message.

I'm hoping it's chinese whispers ("If it doesn't go our way the worst we could get might be 40 points" kind of quote) but I don't doubt you're reporting in good faith.
I have it on good authority that as a result of Chinese whispers the origin of the 40 point deduction was that during a break an internal city auditor was asked to check the petty cash tin of our legal team.

Seems it contained very few bills but 40 IOUs that were still outstanding.
These were numbered and clipped together and instructions to Lord P that those pointed IOUs would be totalled and would be deducted from the weekly total cash from genuine bills.

Seemingly Lord P had a whip round but still needs a few petrol bills etc to get the Petty Cash tin functioning again as a source of ready cash.

A simple misunderstanding that took up the first address by Lord P on that Monday return.

Who in their right mind would stop supporting the club. The cards have been stacked against us from the start so even if they have bent the rules I'm fully behind them however this turns out and I expect the majority of City fans will see it the same way.

I actually got a Jonny 7 when I was about 9 years old ( yes I’ve heard em all) fuk knows how my parents paid for that.

Strictly for the old fuckers in here
Johnny Seven OMA. (One Man Army).
I always wanted one ,but that twat Father Christmas ignored all those letters that I used to write to him and brought me a James Bond spy outfit instead. The tight fucker !!!

They certainly do but we will be here no matter what.
I didn't say they were taking our club but they are custodians and nothing more

People label it as cheating but it's not really is it? It's trying to work with ever changing financial rules and restraints that were bum.rushed through to stall our progress. Rules that didn't exist when the redshirts were the biggest kids on the block and spending more than everybody else. As soon as they were challenged the new rules came in. So far only the premier league has been PROVED to have acted illegally. Cheating is buying off officials or players from other clubs to influence results in our favour. Of course deep down even our fiercest critics know this, but instead of admitting we've just done everything better than them on and off the field and played magnificent football doing so, it eases their own minds by calling us cheats. It gives them an excuse for their abject failure. Hope that's clarified it for you.

The Bundesliga and Ligue 1 had a huge hand in creating FFP. They already had a version of it built into the structure of their 2 leagues, and they were starting to feel disadvantaged with La Liga, the Premier league and Serie A clubs being able to snap up the worlds best players while not having any of the funds available. They only needed Platini to agree and he did.

The Premier league at the time had a combined club debt of 3.3bn. Which had seen Leeds and Portsmouth going into administration with West Ham and Everton teetering on the verge of it. Then you had the leveraged buyouts of LFC & MUFC which saddled debt onto the two biggest clubs in England. This was massive news at the time, and the Premier League had no plans or strategy to combat this. They were lobbying the sports minister for help. Then enter Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Michel Platini from stage left, with the FFPR handbook, and the rest is history.

With respect, the very notion that a man of Khaldoon’s international standing would take on the role of City Media Officer for the day just to appease some fans, is frankly absurd.
C’mon Ric.
If Trump, the leader of the free world, can work in McDonald’s for a day, it’s the least we could expect of Khaldoon.
