PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We all know we're not guilty.
But shit sticks.
The objective of all this has been a success.
They stopped us on our tracks.
When we were at the top we had to hold back spends.
Also possibly found it more difficult to sign top players.
Haaland apart.
So what ever happens the corrupt cartel think they have there wish.
Were down at the moment.
In a bad patch.
But...
The best manager ever has siged for 2 more years.
I believe he will sort this out.

My issue is this, Button. This is a forum and everybody is entitled to their opinion. I certainly have mine and I have had the odd run in with people who have theirs. The ones that come a universal cropper on here are people like you who go beyond stating an opinion and start trying to convince.

You’ve stated your opinion. I disagree wholeheartedly. Put the drum and tambourine away now.

So what's my opinion?

You’ve made an assumption there that everything about City hasn’t previously been analysed & they decided as soon as they got a couple of emails which with a little bit of splicing it would do the job. Meanwhile data hacks from the world’s top agents can only mean trouble for City & not any other top club.

Not worth discussing any further, tbh.

Edit: I have been trying to find anything in the French press from February which verified Pinto handed over new hard disks. I couldn't. I can find this, from AFP:

"Lors d'une rencontre avec l'AFP, L'Equipe et Mediapart, jeudi au cabinet parisien de son avocat William Bourdon, le lanceur d'alerte de 35 ans, à l'allure juvénile, a explicité l'objet de sa venue: donner pour "la première fois aux autorités françaises et étrangères un accès plein et sans restriction à (ses) données" collectées jusqu'à son arrestation en janvier 2019 en Hongrie".

The last part: ... gave for the first time to French and other authorities full and unrestricted access to the data collected since his arrest in Hungary in January 2019 ...

Given digital access to data they already had, not physically handed over.

I think we can sleep safely.

Nothing Pinto has said since has worried me. It’s equivalent to breaking in the bank & only taking the pens but claiming he got in the safety deposit boxes.

Never bothered me the story of Pinto handing over more evidence of his crime, pretty sure that unless it showed City committing a crime, then City are the owners of the data, and the only ones who have access to it.This is where the non cooperation charges probably came from, with City`s lawyers probably arguing that the PL did not charge City on the first instance, to verify a legal right to the information, and that no other Club has been asked for this information, despite numerous chances to use this right to information not covered in the rules.
My view only as a thicko :)

So what's my opinion?
You don’t have to be a dick your entire life. Do you honestly think I’m gonna waste my Boxing Day engaging in a tedious play on words with you?

Ok, kinda sad I’m off to the game really. Enjoy your game, whoever you’re watching on Sky.

City went to the commercial court to challenge the PL's right to see who the club regarded as commercially sensitive information as they were concerned that the data would a) be valuable to the PL as a commercial entity and b) would leak to rival clubs They lost the case City then had no option due the commercial court's ruling but to make the information available Also the judge ruled that the verdict could be made public which was appealed by the club supported by the PL however the appeal judge dismissed the appeal thus the PL's investigation became public It seems surprising to me that the club could be charged with non-cooperation unless the PL expected that they had the right to wholesale access why as City would release documents upon request

On cooperation, I wouldn’t assume anything. There will be good arguments even on that set of charges. “Exceptional cooperation” is a reason for mitigation but some of those matters assume, I would say, infer you don’t breach unless really obstructive and unreasonable. We don’t know what City did (challenging in the HC doesn’t seem to me to be non cooperation per se) and one would assume post the HC case they complied even if reluctantly and in a generally resistant mode. That isn’t massively unusual in disputes. Anyway this is what is “exceptional cooperation”. I think we can assume City won’t get mitigation (!) but punished? Not clear. 1735206465790.png
