The Labour Government

It wouldn't 'own' the internet, just force providers to offer a basic connection for free.
Of all the things that can empower people, the web has to be the best.

I don’t recall the specifics of the policy but I recall that was one of the concerns at the time.

COVID certainly shone a strong light on families with kids and only one device / limited connectivity was a huge problem. No one can tell me those kids won’t be disadvantaged in the long term.

Maybe they’re economically illiterate and/or terrorist sympathisers as well.
That's a bit like saying all brexit supporters are rascists-in other words, complete bollocks. Maybe he's a really good constituency MP who actually represents them and makes a difference on the ground and this outweighs what he did/said or was alleged to have said years ago. As I said, I'm no fan but he got elected as an independent so it's clearly a personal thing rather than blindly supporting a party as many do.

Of course it’s complete bollocks, but it’s also complete bollocks to say that because people in North Islington vote for him as an MP, that he isn’t economically illiterate or a terrorist sympathiser.

I’m not terribly interested in whether people in North Islington like him or not.

I'm assuming you deliberately decide to ignore the point that was being made?

sorry mate, tis isn't GB News. What you should be saying is "attacking the wealth gap and improving quality of life " and "supporting freedom and justice"
Let's be honest here, Corbyn would have been a disaster for the UK economy. I get ot that he meant well, but wealth for all is essentially created by business and they hated him and his ideologies.

We'll never know, but why do you think it would have been worse?
Alongside the fact that his costings were total bollocks, Corbyn was also a Brexiteer and what was the cost of a Corbyn-led Brexit had he won in 2017? Following that we would have had COVID which created a £300bn black hole.

Reject the EU bourgeoisie, viva la revolution, I guess Brexit then has a different ring to it doesn't it...?

Well that trickle down argument hasn’t really worked. The wealth gap is evidence of that. What we’re talking about is a restructuring in f the economy and legislative led redistribution (ie through taxation etc).
Anyway, Corbyn is now in the past and I really do fear for the future. You can’t say you’re happy with society the way it is can you?
Anyway, Happy Blue Year

Corbyn, like Brexit has been done.

People need to move on.

Labour were set a trap by the Tories economy wise and walked straight into it. As expected their selves and their client journalist automatically blame them for all the shit the Tory bastards did in power. Including their disaster capitalist policies during COVID which made them and their mates richer and have left us to pay the fucking bill as usual.
