I can’t see it going any other way. We’re signing players that are linked with Europes top clubs yet signing for us. Now, Soriano and Khaldoon may be thinking fuck it, we’re on our way down so let’s just buy every **** possible. But the business side of that thinking doesn’t make sense.

We still may not be fully cleared of the charges, but with these signings, I think any threat of relegation is off the table. Points deductions to prevent us from playing in Europe next season may be possible though.

I thought we was stockpiling players because we will have a lifelong transfer ban?
I hope these players have put relegation clauses into their contracts, it would be wise don't you think?

Like you say it's business as usual at city whilst the outside world is getting it's knickers in a twist about us.

There’s no way Marmoush is signing for a club who’s going to be prevented from playing in Europe.

The first two things these players agents will be asking in the negotiations will be the charges. and how much said player will be getting paid. Once they’ve heard what they want to hear they’ll sign on the dotted line. No way they would if there was one ounce of uncertainty

Im sure we will be cleared, but technically, there is no risk in signing for City because if we get relegated / kicked out of Europe for fraud and gross financial misconduct, the players will be able to terminate their contracts.

Did we really get charged? I’m not so sure now -:)

It certainly doesn’t make sense for the club to go this big in January if they were unsure/worried about the outcome. The people who know about these kind of things - I’m talking the likes of Stefan - reckon both sides should have a pretty good idea by now how things have gone.

Fair enough, but imho we don't know enough about the PSR assessments or any Chelsea settlement to get excited about them.

I will, however, continue to call out the opacity around PSR assessments on the grounds that it damages the credibility of the process and leads to conspiracy theories.

I'll also call out the weakness of the PL and its rulebook if any Chelsea settlement is deemed to be outside the disciplinary process.

And I'll continue to call out Masters as the worst possible sort of individual to be managing a dysfunctional collection of football clubs.

But I won't be getting my knickers in a twist (at least on this thread) about things on which we don't have enough information to come to a sensible conclusion. Life's too short. Or at least mine is these days :)
