PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Have you listened to what he said, rather than reading the somewhat misleading headline?

And whilst your last sentence may be correct at least he’s addressed the elephant in the room.
So he didn’t say there are no rules ? Funny because that’s what I thought he said as well

Probably, and I've no doubt that should that happen and we get fined they will.

The CAS result showed that and we just sucked the minor miscellaneous up.
And all we've had since is mis-reporting that we were found guilty of financial breaches, no matter how many times the "no evidence" from the court's judgement is shown

There’s a few ways to interpret what was said. What he says about the PL having no authority is the most pertinent and interesting part though, rather than the no rules comment which exists only to setup the assertion of the lack of authority. It’s not been asserted enough, or at all, until now.

If you can’t see how the headline is misleading in relation to what he said overall, then I’d say your English comprehension is deficient.

If City win the case, there are no rules
There are no rules anymore
It's just gone
It's just gone because the authority of the Premier League will be utterly destroyed
I don't see how the PL Board could survive, because they've spent four or five years to get nowhere

But but but they were able to “get somewhere” with Everton, Forest and Leicester.

What he actually means is the rules are shit because we adhered to them and that’s not the outcome he wanted.

The mentality of a 4 year old dressed up with big words.

I’m struggling to see your point. He’s unequivocally stated that if we win the PL is fucked. ‘Get[ting] nowhere’ means they have not been able to establish anything. It’s a fairly accurate ex tempore assessment of the position post a finding in our favour.

If you are expecting Martin Lipton to go full Bert then you are going to be perpetually disappointed.

True he hasn’t said it will mean City were perfectly innocent but actually none of us know if that will be the basis of a finding in our favour.

What he has said is correct imo, but then again it might be my English comprehension that’s deficient…

Being in the room gives you insight and an advantage. As opposed to being outside the room and knowing fuck all.

I can definitely get my head around the fact we have confidence in our performance during the trial but surely it would be a little cavalier to suggest we had a clear view of the outcome..?

I guess we'd take some sort of no cooperation one as assuming we've not said fill your boots here's the keys etc a fine for not giving everything they've asked for is subjective.
Fair point but I think if we're going for the costs involved in defending the club completely exonerated would leave us in a far stronger position.

If we do get a fine I'd imagine an appeal would be a possibility. However the scenario of City asking for costs and/or damages will have Masters and his cohorts absolutely shitting themselves.
