PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ian Wright did something similar on MNF last season.

They was talking about us and then all of a sudden Wright turns around completely out of the blue and in a trance like voice says yeah but don't forget about the 115 charges hanging over them.

It was almost like he got told to say it.

I think these media outlets and the pricks on social media know that we have done nothing wrong and we are obviously turning the screw on anybody who comes out with anything slanderous.

About bloody time.

More likely to be the last of our signing announcements if we win on Wednesday
Hope you are correct mate. Notwithstanding the match win monies I thought the xtra cash for getting to the last 16 play off matches was modest and the chunky cash came once you actually reached the last 16.

In fairness, doesn't Wright always speak in a 'trance like voice'? The bloke has all the insight and intellect of a house brick!

It was followed two hours later. I contacted the club and I think they grabbed someone from Sky at the game yesterday.

It most definitely was the club pulling Sky, as they did not add in the usual caveats when Sherwood started rambling.
Great to see us being more proactive. We should have been doing this for ten years though. It is basic stuff for any Comms team to correct any false narratives. People can slag us as much as they want but facts are always sacred.

Diff is, he wasnt on sky time when he did that, while i agree that scouse **** should be sacked for any number of things sky could argue that happened in his personal time this was an employee of sky on a sky program
That was a moral issue and deserved dismissal.

Does anyone think that 'spitter the vile' would've contested that and risked the public out cry.

Sky are a disgrace and got away with it !!

I remember that vitriol tirade from wright.

It was all the more alarming as it came out of the blue but I guess he couldn’t contain it anymore due to city overtaking the arse to the league.

Really disappointing from him and you can add McCoist into the mix aswell.

People hate city for a lot of reasons.

Jealousy
Clubs they support not winning
Paid to hate

I could go on and on. Those types are scum imo. We all watched arse, chvas and rags win season after season and it didn’t drive me to this levels of abuse.

The line doesn’t exist anymore.

I might be wrong, but City's handling and public comments on the APT case seem to me to have marked a change in attitude. The club seems much more combative than before.

If the '115' case has a satisfactory outcome, there'll be plenty of libellous comments from our detractors as they react. I'm also not sure that we will, but I hope in that case to see City go in hard with aggressive legal action against a couple of the worst offenders. We may not change their perception of us, but it wouldn't hurt to show those people that they need to take care in terms of how they express themselves.
I would presume that City will draw a line under all previous comments & only go after the libellous ones post the outcome

So let's get this straight....

We did a deal whereby we got the Council out of a hole by basically buying out a stadium that was of no further use once the Commonwealth Games were over, and we went on a huge development spree which is still ongoing, and we did it plus significantly upgrading the quality of the squad whose home it would be. And we did it with our own money, handouts not required. Yet we are castigated by the EPL who want to put a stop to this progression.

And now it becomes official policy that the rags are going to have a 100,000 capacity stadium built for them at hard-pressed taxpayers expense, no questions asked.

Hypocrisy by the shitload....

After they’ve built it, will add a rule to stop others top trumping them.

They are not having a new stadium or an improved swamp paid for out of taxpayers money. Best they will get is improved public transport infrastructure out of public funds.

I’m amazed how many City fans keep repeating that taxpayers are paying for a new swamp. It’s as bad as the fans of the usual clubs repeating incorrect and unfounded shite about our charges.

Can you imagine how Spurs and Everton would react if it really was the case? The only “justification” would be if the UK were going for a Manchester olympic bid … and there’s no chance of that, less than zero, with the state of our national finances.
