Ortega with an ugly game? Ederson wasnt available today.
Kovacic abandoning his midfield responsibilities? I think I've heard tell of a 6-shaped hole in our squad planning.
No fullbacks? What's a fullback?

He is underachieving with the squad we have ,Arsenal front line is very average yet we allowed 5 goals .Even after sacrificing attacking fullbacks for CBs our defense is poor and can't defend corners
I hate to say it but that new bald Dutch guy is really making it seem that way. It's like he's saying to the world "is this the pl you all have been going on about?". He's making it seem so easy and Pep for some reason is getting himself tangled up by invisible ropes all in his head.

People say it's being ungrateful criticising Pep based on all he's done for us. But those trophies are in the past. It was clear last season that standards were starting to slip but our tenacity & determination got us over the line in the PL.

This season, that's gone. Most players don't look the least bit bothered. I'm not at all clear we've done the right thing with that 2-year extension. We need a clear-out and shake up.

I think we were pretty well set up to start the day to be honest. The first goal was an absolute disaster of decision making that we still could have recovered from. I dont know if the second half meltdown is all on Pep. Pep was pretty quick to pull Phil after he stopped trying defensively but I didn't see many options on the bench to cover the other problems on the field.
It wouldn't have mattered anyway even if we didn't gift them the first goal, we always collapse in the second half of games against decent teams because the physical levels are absolutely atrocious, any team that plays with some intensity will destroy us because that's where the squad is with Gundo, Kovacic and Silva as our midfielders, add in forwards who don't press like Haaland and Foden and a ridiculous suicide set up and you're asking for trouble, and the fact we didn't buy any midfielders in this window sums up the club's "strategy" in the last two years.

I understand pep will get the benefit of the doubt from many blues, and he's absolutely earned that, but what the fuck are we doing here Pep?

These are highly paid professionals that make mistake after mistake week after week. It's bordering on criminal at this point.
His man management of our CBs in the wake of Rodri's injury really fucked us for the season. We dropped points rushing Dias, Ake and Stones back only for all of them to get injured again and again. That gamble didn't work out and left us worse off.

Correct , and Liverpool also do not have a good DM ,they have endo who is average ,and Gravenbach who was CM converted to DM .

Loss of one player should not completely derail the season .

If we are going to be honest and I mean this in the most honest way possible, no disrespect to Jack but our standards started slipping the moment we started going after ball hugging players like him. This just didn't start last season, it's been slowly coming for about 3 seasons now, too much sentiment and holding on to players that should have gone a long time ago. Too many freeloaders

I dont think he is tne clear and above best manager in the world any more.

Its normal, for more than 10 years he clearly was, but other managers have learned and caught up and improved.

Why did we play with 2 deep midfielders when we saw the success of the 3 deep players.

Bernie doesnt need to be that high, let him pkay that pseudo CB role that he found success with.

Gvardiol had no license to attack

Yes the players ultimately let him down, but I think he could have set us up better.

Yes our injuries have fucked us but he has not helped at all. It's the same style week after week when its clear it's not working. I know he can't help with the stupid mistakes we are making but fuck me this is shocking. Nico is probably not the answer atm but it would be nice to see something different every now and then. We try something and it's looks like it's working and then we never see it again. What the fuck is happening
He looks slow on YouTube , not sure he will improve us

2 at the back with fullbacks high up the pitch..Vs a quick counter attacking side. On him.

Flooding middle of the park but not getting it quickly into forward players or playing in behind but instead keeping with the side to side. On him

No changes when tide of game is turning but waiting until it's gone. Then the changes aren't actually changes but like for likes so it's the same shit. On him

Starting players and playing systems that have been terrible for months now. On him

He's been fucking shite this season without Rodri to carry his entire philosophy on his shoulders. He has fucking incredible players at his disposal yet we are terrible. And that's on him.

Difficult time, he’s committed to the club in both senses, but he is now approaching the point where he’s going to have to sever the ropes of loyalty to a number of players that have been here so long. That is going to be both emotionally and tactically challenging. Once they start leaving, those remaining servants will know that their days are numbered, too, so how do you get the best out of them and at the same time assimilate new players? Often read people saying that this is a transitional season, yet I suspect that may be the one to come.

The only positive thing happening this season:

Despite everything bad that happens to him and everything he does, Pep Guardiola saw that Rico Lewis is the worst football player ever and sent him to the bench.
