Try getting away from Wembley in a coach. Not a piece of piss.Like Wembley!
Piece of piss to get to. Numerous railway and Tube stations to use from all directions.
Massive, not huge.View from my apartment...the new roof 'triangle' mast looks HUGE !
Yeah although old roof will eventually go and a lot of the load is shared by the temporary props in the meantime. The cable though still has to remain tight throughout, which as you say is all back to the towers. Those towers are going to be handling some load - both old and new roof!
It's good one. :-)
Close up pictures of one of the steel legs currently on the ground outside the construction site waiting to be lifted into place.
I'll post the pictures later on this Afternoon.
Two down, with 6 more to go, I hope for their sake CP or SS catch one of the 6 being installed. And then the capping pieces. Big milestone, when those are done.
They'll them have to crane the cherry pickers off the top of the roof through the quadpod legs.
When all 4 are on, the little pyramid connection topper will be fun to see go on. Like putting a star on a christmas tree ;)
It's going to look superb and keep the very iconic look of the stadium.
Will the cherry pickers be put back when the new cables are Being installed ??Two down, with 6 more to go, I hope for their sake CP or SS catch one of the 6 being installed. And then the capping pieces. Big milestone, when those are done.

Do we know much about the capping pieces? Surely they can't be lifted in one assembled piece and be expected to marry up to the 4 piers underneath perfectly? Two down, with 6 more to go, I hope for their sake CP or SS catch one of the 6 being installed. That's what I think, yeah. Like a star on a christmas tree :).Do we know much about the capping pieces? Surely they can't be lifted in one assembled piece and be expected to marry up to the 4 piers underneath perfectly?
Does anyone on here have an image of the quad pod cappings , being a 4 pod design they will be unlike any of the existing onesDo we know much about the capping pieces? Surely they can't be lifted in one assembled piece and be expected to marry up to the 4 piers underneath perfectly?
