The Labour Government

Have you tried coming up with a workable solution to anything or are you like a few others in here who are professional moaners?

Only allow in the most highly skilled migrants that your infrastructure and housing can support and who are financially independent so they're not reliant upon social housing or benefits.

Also don't let people into the country if they're from countries with high levels of crime.

There you go ;)

You’d have to put a salary limit or qualification limit on that and it would always have to be fluent to address the gaps in our employment market. (Which is what happens now)

Second point is just weird, although the thought of banning all Americans to ever live here does sound somewhat appealing.

I assumed the 'horseshit' was the factually correct stuff about the more than million people coming over but if he thinks it's horseshit that Labour have loosened immigration controls, amongst other things, the Labour Gov have announced:

  1. a widening of the asylum scheme in Afghanistan to make it easier for more Afghani asylum seekers to come to the UK (can't imagine what could go wrong there...turns news over)
  2. the lowering of the minimum salary restriction that the previous Gov had set at £37000 to £29000
  3. the scrapping of the Rwanda deterrent which led to a surge in small boat crossings straight after Labour got into power
Net migration should fall from the ridiculously high numbers of the previous gov't because of the actions the previous gov't took just before they left office but that doesn't mean Labour haven't loosened border controls (if there's any left!) since they've come to power.

But it still adds up to nonsense, when the numbers are predicted to fall by 50-60%.

Your argument rests on mixing up the tense of pretty much every statement. I gave you the benefit of the doubt over the statement "We've got over a million of people coming to Britain every year", because there were a couple of recent years where that was true, and assumed your grammar was just a bit out as it implied that it was ongoing, which it almost certainly isn't.

You've suggested that Labour are loosening controls, but the minimum income requirement was never £37000. The Tories had proposed that it would be raised again, but Labour have just put that on hold while the impact of the first increase is assessed. Similarly, how could Rwanda ever have been a deterrent, when no-one was being sent to Rwanda? You could also add in plenty of other things that Labour have done, or are currently working on, that would be seen as increasing controls. When you're balancing things that are happening, against things that hadn't happened, you're not just cherry picking, but even your cherry is an imaginary, alternative, hypothetical, future cherry.

Stating that millions ARE coming in, and that Labour are loosening controls, can pretty much only be read as an implication that net migration is going to go up. Suggesting there are now no border controls at all, is clearly nonsense, as the level of net migration will almost certainly fall by very significant amounts.

An example of what yu have to look forward to... Welsh Labour, in power for 26 years.

And it begins, the rats leaving the sinking ship that is the totalitarian regime in the Senedd.
After 26 years of total failure, which has resulted in us being poorer, our young being less educated, the Nation being less healthy, the elderly going cold and our homeless going without anything, all whilst vast amounts of our monies have been squandered and wasted on useless idiotic vanity projects no one supported or wanted, with our hard earned money being given away abroad, and wasted on lunatic fringe indulgences that have had absolutely no benefit for the people of Wales.
All whilst our own suffer, go cold, hungry and wait for treatment on our destroyed NHS.
Devolution was sold to us as a means to improve our lot, with less red tape, less bureaucracy, to make the system more efficient! What a sick joke that was!
Well done WAG, you have failed the very people you claim to support, all whilst indulging yourselves on every lunatic fringe whim your Cabal have dreamt up.
Although 20 mph is despised by all rational logical thinking people and viewed as the farce that it is, it was a great catalyst in the awakening of the masses here.
Your total control freakery was your ultimate undoing, and now the birds are well and truly coming home to roost.
Those who have seen the wood for the trees in your Dictatorship are now standing down before they are publicly humiliated when they loose their seats. You have only yourselves to blame.
By ignoring nearly 500,000 voters over your blanket implementation of the childlike 20 mph policy, you have committed political suicide.
I hope those responsible for the gross abuse of public monies and power are forced to face the music in the future once democracy is regained, never to be lost again.

Fucking hell.

I used the present tense because the most recent figures (https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn06077/) show that over a million people came to Britain. Did you want me to use figures from 1972 or some forecast figures that nobody actually knows yet?

They cancelled the scheduled introduction of it which I would consider loosening controls but you may not.

Rwanda was a deterrent and partly explains why there was a fall in small boat crossings after the Illegal Migration Act was passed and a rise after the Labour Gov't cancelled the Rwanda deterrent. You don't actually need to carry out an action for it to be a deterrent.

Stating that millions ARE coming in, and that Labour are loosening controls, can pretty much only be read as an implication that net migration is going to go up.

That's a failure of your logic then. Over a million people can be coming in (according to the most recent figures), Labour can be loosening controls, and net migration can still fall due to the last Gov't's measures just before they left office.

Why don't you check them out and look at their record it's all on their press releases which go back to 2004 rather than just posting things you don't know about?
What I do know is when the Liz Truss unfunded “mini budget” nearly crashed the economy and increased millions of people’s mortgage “mine included” the so called TPA didn’t utter a word.

Maybe you should educate yourself instead of spouting platitudes,

Best educate yourself before you make yourself look more silly. You clearly hadn't heard of them 30mins ago lol.

The Welsh public, who for years have steadfastly and loyally followed Labour, now having woken up and smelled the coffee, seem to be on the turn. Many people I know who have been life long Labour supporters have said they just cannot vote for the party again. The problem as I have said in previous comments is.... "well who can I vote for then"? Given the Tories courtesy of Maggie, don't stand a snowballs chance in hell, and Plaid Cymru are just..... too radical and too Plaid Cymru, we really are left rudderless on a drifting ship ergo I'm afraid Reform be will getting a great number of these dissatisfied voters vote. Maybe this will be a convenient benchmark by which the wider UK can have a look at what they really can do?

The next Senedd (Welsh parliament) election is 2026.

A little bit of plagiarism below

Warning to Wales.

With so many leaving the sinking ship: please be aware of their final shot at inflicting pain on us.
I guess the best news is the departure of Mark Drakeford the most unliked politician in Wales.
Taken from Wales on Line:
More than a quarter of Labour's Senedd members have now said they will not seek re-election again in 2026. The party had 30 Senedd members elected to the Welsh Parliament in 2021 but now eight, including two former First Ministers, have said they will not seek re-election.
A number of current or former ministers have also said they will not seek re-election. Mark Drakeford and Vaughan Gething will not seek re-election and nor will current economy minister Rebecca Evans or deputy minister for social care Dawn Bowden. Former deputy ministers Lee Waters and Julie Morgan and former Counsel General Mick Antoniw MS. have said they will not seek re-election.
