Well £75m in "exceptional spending allowances" was a pretty good start, I'm sure those nice men at the PL will magic up some more help specifically for united as and when required. How many more levers can they crank though?

Ahem *exceptional spending allowances* ahem.If they’re in the shit the rules be changed to help them we all know the script by now
I think they're living in the past and a lot of their players think they've "made it" when they sign for Untied (a good few have made it financially with long term contracts) forgetting they have to deliver on the pitch, they EXPECT to be competing at the top.Its a weird one how bad they are, if you try and look at it without bias, most of their players that they have brought in are good players, I still like Hojlund (or however you spell it), that Uruguayan is good, De Ligt was a hot property at one time, Martinez had a good reputation, we were after Slabhead, Dalot is the portuguese right back etc.. Even their managers had good reputations before they arrived. The investment into the football team and "level" of the players brought in does not add up to how bad they are (which is dead funny). There has to be something in the background that is undermining what the football side are doing. Is it Slur Alex? Is it the amount or air time ex-players get? Is it that they believe that they have a divine right to (incorrectly so) to be near the top? Whatever it is, they are nowhere near fixing it and as others have said, next season, if they don't win anything this year (still in FA and Euro Cup and could easily get help to spawn a win), with the PSR issues they are close to this year, lack of any saleable assets (other than the young Argie and Mainoo) they are going to be in a right mess. Who would go there other than for more money? How do they get rid of the underperforming dross? I can't see it fully, but it could be a dog fight for them next year (I think they have too many points this year above the bottom 3 and the bottom 3 are not likely to win 20 more points this season). Long may it continue!

I think that's probably what I was trying to articulate, its the arrogance built into the club after the complete outlier of success under Slur Alex.I think they're living in the past and a lot of their players think they've "made it" when they sign for Untied (a good few have made it financially with long term contracts) forgetting they have to deliver on the pitch, they EXPECT to be competing at the top.
How to completely misread a post...That’s a wind up? Surely? Post that on rag cafe they’ll love you forever, on here that should and will be taken as a piss take - fair play if it is, if not then I’m worried about you

It’s the entitlement that they automatically should be challenging for trophies regardless,it also isn’t helped by the media talking them up especially after a win and they are back crap ..I think that's probably what I was trying to articulate, its the arrogance built into the club after the complete outlier of success under Slur Alex.
Have a listen to poor old Dave, calls in at 19.11 on the clock in the corner, fuckin mard arse
How to completely misread a post...
Good post, I think we are witnessing some freakish powerplay experiment, in how to wreck an asset, in order to force the Glazers to sell up.they do seem to be fucked for next season...
less league income from this season than most likely was projected.
stuck with a whole host of overpaid players who nobody will want to pay decent money for.
unless by some miracle (or bent refereeing) they qualify for european football you'd have to think their sponsors won't need to cough up as much.
and any new sponsorship deals will surely be nowhere near enough to refloat their sinking ship.
how long can they afford to keep sacking managers and replacing them with even more mediocre ones.
which highly-skilled senior management candidates capable of having any impact on the decline would be foolish enough to go there right now.
you'd also think the glaziers will continue to bleed them, with zero intentions of selling up to anyone who could actually turn their fortunes around.
catweazle is doing his utmost to make things worse, bless him.
presumably they could increase their ever-increasing debts to fund more player purchases but which top-notch ones would even consider signing for 'em any more.
i personally know a bloke in his late 60s and his 3 sons in their 40s who have been lifelong season ticket holders but are sacking it off from next year because matchdays are ruining their lives emotionally and financially.
there must be others doing likewise
and who in their right minds are going to replace them.
long gone are the days when swamp tickets were like gold dust with a 7yr waiting list.
young children globally nowadays in search of a team to begin to follow don't give flying fuck about the long gone glory years,
they want to support a club who are worth watching,
so, unless they already come from rag-supporting families, where are the next generation of fans going to come from as the current crop either die off or fuck off.
sadly there are worse teams than them this year and it's unlikely they'll go down,
but if the 3 newly-promoted teams next year give a good fist of it and the rags have a poor start to the campaign then maybe just maybe our dreams might come true,
because their heads are already down and no other teams fear them any more.
when your backs are against the wall you need leaders on the pitch and in the dressing room but it appears they have none of those either,
and as many of us remember only too well,
when a badly-run club goes down it takes an awfully long time to resurface.
we are very fortunate to witnessing this karma,
because that's what it is.
they brought this on themselves.
it's a joy to see their ex-player pundits visibly hurting inside, resigned to the fact there is no hope whatsoever on the horizon.
what's great too is being able to recognise a rag fan from a mile off now,
because they've had that everpresent smug smile wiped off their ugly face.
but best of all is that their distress is compounded to the nth degree by our success.
it's ripping them apart and boy do they deserve it.
Hmm.
We've accumulated a lot of fans over the last decade or so.
I can't help wondering how committed they will be if things go tits up long term.
If some of the match thread commentators are an indicator,I wouldn't be over confident.
Andy Mitten currently on Sky going for the world record on how many times he can say Manchester United in a single interview
They played shite against us, absolutely woeful. We just somehow played as bad. This is an extreme take Ineos can't just leave them and leave them in the shit. They have spent over a bil to get involved haven't they. They can't just walk away. They are just thankfully very shitGood post, I think we are witnessing some freakish powerplay experiment, in how to wreck an asset, in order to force the Glazers to sell up.
We saw them play like their lives depended on it at the Etihad, winning at Arsenal and nearly beating Liverpool with the last kick of the game. It is no surprise that these were the biggest global TV games, where everyone was watching. Then they lose to Wolves and Palace. Onana threw the ball into his own net at home to Forest etc..
The name of the club is being dragged through the mud on a daily basis, with no attempts to fight back or try to spin it around. They leave it to someone who has only been at the club for 2 months to be the spokesperson, and he only makes it worse by saying that they are the worst team ever.
Scruffy Jim and his cohorts will be keeping one eye on the shareprice and another on the gap between relegation. INEOS could let things get so bad, that they could give a take it or leave it offer to the Glazers. Accept our offer, and we fix all this, or we walk away and leave you in the shit.
But the Glazers don’t give a fuck, as long as their dividend keeps rolling in.Good post, I think we are witnessing some freakish powerplay experiment, in how to wreck an asset, in order to force the Glazers to sell up.

Perfect business sense……laughing their bollocks off at scruffy JimBut the Glazers don’t give a fuck, as long as their dividend keeps rolling in.
