Not only that, but it will take them decades to rebuild to be in that position again, they mostly walked into what they've currently got over 10 years, without much resistance, then tried to take the whole country and completely failed to take more than 5% more.Currently, Russia can barely invade a town. I very much doubt they would - or could - invade Poland!
If we could create a whole European Defence Alliance, I agree. Worryingly, there are at least two current NATO members saying we don’t need a European Defence Alliance as we already have one I.e. NATODon’t care about that mate I’m on about the rest of NATO, they’d kick Russia arse.
Can anyone post an updated oil refinery bingo card. I have not seen one for a while now.Bingo!
It's just par for the course with this odious country, regardless of what happens with Ukraine, the EU and UK should never even consider restoring relations with Russia while Putin or his regime is in power.Russia has hit Italy with a cyber attack in retaliation for the Italian president daring to compare Russia to Nazi Germany last month.
Doesn't feel like they are gearing up for peace.

not wanting to derail the thread, but the brexiteers of my age (40-60) that I know of, are right behind Trump no matter what, and are against Ukraine having any support. Therefore they really arent for a european military collective...as it misses out Ukraine, a european country, and basically throws them away to Russia...which then leads inevitably with Putin's ways (take, take and take again), to Moldova, the Baltic's and then eyeing up Poland, to join the Kalingrad enclave directly to mother Russia. I find it bizarre, disingenuous and downright fictional that anyone could believe that Russia would stop with whatever part of Ukraine Trump unilaterally gives away, a la Sudetenland/Czech nation.I think Brexiteers are far more aligned to a military collective with our European neighbours than they are to a political one
That's not my experience to be honest.not wanting to derail the thread, but the brexiteers of my age (40-60) that I know of, are right behind Trump no matter what, and are against Ukraine having any support. that's fine, everyone's experience is different, i just said "that i know of', which no way implies everyone has that same view. The rest of my post still stands. That's not my experience to be honest.
Good links, but your short statement was quite misleading. They are already importing more Russian LNG this year.

The states discussing reimporting Russian gas are not listed in this article.
Top of the list are officials from Hungary and Germany![]()

EU debates restarting Russian gas purchases as part of Ukraine peace deal, FT reports
The proposal's advocates, including Hungarian and German officials, argue that the move could give both Russia and Europe incentives to maintain a ceasefire while stabilizing the continent's energy market, the Financial Times wrote.kyivindependent.com
Nor mine. That's not my experience to be honest.
Trump is alienating a lot of people outside the US from a broad political spectrum.Nor mine.
Even the more Trimp compliant Farage states the only way peace can occur is for Ukraine to be in NATO
Yep. See my post elsewhere on the Canada vs USA Ice hockey bear pit match.Trump is alienating a lot of people outside the US from a broad political spectrum.
You take a stance against my beliefs and my country and I will back my country every time and I will back our PM to do the same. I don't particularly care how big or powerful you think you are.
