Going to Kitzbuhel, Austria later in the year. Anyone been?
Yes I've been, in summer, so obviously there was no snow. It was pretty quiet, a lot of places were closed, but we did manage to find a few decent bars. One bar in particular was great, cant remember the name of it, but inside it looked like it was carved out of a rock, the owner was brilliant, if a little bonkers, and the drinks were the cheapest we found. Ask around I'm sure you'll find it, it's only a small town.
We ate in the hotel, so can't really comment on the restaurants.
In some pubs they play a game of knocking a nail in a tree trunk, it's their main pub pastime, I guarantee you'll have a go at some point.
The town itself is spotlessly clean, no litter or dog poo.
If you like walking you'll love it. We climbed up the mountain that they use for the slalom skiing, the mousetrap is something else, can't believe they throw themselves off it, nutters.
There's a cafe half way up, and one at the top. It took a good few hours but was worth it. We got the cable car down, which decided to break down mid descent, but that's another story.
We also hired bikes and rode the few miles to the next town, which had a large lake near it, lots of watersports going on.
A nice place to visit, the scenery is beautiful, but some might find the town a little too quiet out of season.
Hope you have a great trip.
