Did I read something earlier may have even been put up here, about utd not being able to sustain all the losses, hence more lay offs ,may have been a quote from Barada about losses over the last 5 years,if that’s correct would they not be failing some of these ffp/psr rules in place then ..

They will be claiming 50 million costs related to the new stadium this season. Why not? It's been done before .....

Redundancies mean their jobs are redundant, how can they be replaced?
It’s quite straitforward I’m afraid. I worked in consulting for years and it’s a common tactic to quickly cut costs. The Mail online (24th Feb) reported that a large number of club employed stewards have already been replaced by agency staff - essentially doing the same work- for one good example. Scum will still need scouting info so the previously employed scouting work will be bought in is another etc. There are multiple ways to skin the cat. Fundamentally it’s the nature of the work or the way in which it is done which changes and Job titles are just transitory. If those that leave are paid off and there is a financial imperative to support the action there’s little they can do. Most are probably receiving pennies more severance and signing compromise agreements. Scruffy is just playing the cost slash playbook. It never ends well.

And those nice men at the PL will probably allow united to write off the costs incurred with the redundancies as an "exceptional spending allowance"
PL make it up as they go along, just have to look at the ruling we recently received in our favour

Red tops have been pulling the PL strings for far to long, hopefully the time is over..

Let's hope that they're the next Leeds and piss about in the lower divisions for 20 years. The financial regulations that they dreamt up to stop the likes of us have come around and bit them on the arse. A billion in debt, stadium not fit for purpose and a valueless playing squad. I would guess 3 billion would get them back on an even footing when compared to the likes of us, Liverpool, arsenal etc. . Next year when revenues plummet because of no European games will be their day of reckoning, can't wait.
