Interesting to look back on what was said about Ten Hag when he was appointed
No doubt it will be very similar to what is said about Amorim

John Murtough, United's football director, said: "During the past four years at Ajax, Erik has proved himself to be one of the most exciting and successful coaches in Europe, renowned for his team's attractive, attacking football and commitment to youth.
"In our conversations with Erik leading up to this appointment, we were deeply impressed with his long-term vision for returning Manchester United to the level we want to be competing at, and his drive and determination to achieve that.
Ten Hag was understood to be the unanimous choice at United following a rigorous recruitment process that was led by Murtough and Darren Fletcher, the technical director.

Richard Arnold, the executive vice-chairman, was also involved and the trio are understood to have agreed Ten Hag was the best candidate for the job.
United were looking for a number of attributes from their new manager, including proven success, a commitment to youth, the ability to improve players and the will to introduce an attractive style of play.

Ten Hag is said to have set out his long-term vision to build a successful and exciting team during conversations with United, in which he is also said to have shown enthusiasm for the challenge he now faces at Old Trafford.

Sky Sports News understands Ten Hag will tell United players he does not want any passengers at the club
His key message to them will be that he is the manager, there is a new regime and United are going to go back to playing like Manchester United.

If there are any players who are not up for the challenge, they are welcome to leave, but everyone will start with a clean slate. He has not been given any specific targets , but he knows his job is to make United great again.

Ten Hag set out a "compelling long-term vision" for a successful, exciting team.
Phil Jones mason mount and Anthony obviously weren't listening to the no passengers bit...

Most of the strikers still have an almost clean slate as far as goals are concerned...

Amd as for targets ,the only thing Anthony successfully hit was his missus.
And I think rashford hit a lamppost pissed up ,does that count?

It’s incredible to think they had conversations with Ten Wanks and were “deeply impressed” with him. He’s obviously completely mental and a massive dickhead. How could anyone be deeply impressed by the ****?
Maybe they said they were massively pissed and it got lost in translation?

All joking aside, is his appointment something that should concern us? I have to ask because I know nothing about the man and if he's joining the rags, I don't particularly want to know, except of course whether of not he poses a threat to our unrivalled supremacy?
@KentBlue Kent, Kent mate, I always enjoy your rag posts. I always think of them being said in an Alan Bennett monologue sort of way so, this one surprises me.
First of all. Last April this manager was 4 points clear and looking to win the league with Sporting and yet he jumped on a plane to be interviewed for the West Ham job.
To me this shows that if he gets it right at the swamp, at the drop of a hat, he will jump on a bus, train or plane to dash off to be interviewed by a big club :-)

Joking aside. Even if he is Peps younger, unknown brother, what can he realistically do there ? If Pep rocked up there how long do you think it would take him to get them successful on a regular basis ?
His best players are ergh, Maguire and.......fuck knows. If they try and sell any one of them, who is going to buy ? No-one will match their wages and unless the rags are willing to lose 60 million on Anthony and the like they are stuck with them. It would take 4-6 transfers windows to clear out and replace.
All the while, as long as we stick to our policies, we are growing stronger. We are not standing still.
So Kent, I don't think your monologues are in any danger of drying up in the next 10 years (longer if we remember our core values).

Good appointment. Let's see how he gets on.

Perhaps.

Wait until he has an opportunity to get the over- hyped and lazy twats to try and do as he wants.

They have too many players whose egos outstrip their application and effort.

Beating a less than full team Leicester will have all their real cunts, is Fernandes , Garnacho , Rashford strutting around like fucking peacocks in mating season.
