I keep asking myself why are the EU keeping this war going. It could have been stopped when he went into the Crimea. Nothing was done then. Big mistake, not all countries in EU want a war, not all countries want to keep pouring money in, why are we? Our politicians are liars and they definitely don’t speak for me. I’m leaving it at that on here, because on a forum there are very entrenched opinions, I just can’t see anything good about going headfirst into a war. Blair, who, next to United, I dislike (probably can’t say hate without being arrested) led us into the last war and look who we’ve got in again!
A Russia that has natural resources it can sell to Europe and build its economy being integrated into the world rather than causing wars is surely a better pathway from where they are now.
Unfortunately our politicians over the last 15 years have been too soft with Russia which has emboldened them. They let then have Crimea when they should have been sidelined as country back then. Allowed a Malaysian Airliner to be shot down and did nothing, let Russian operatives use a chemical weapon on British Sovereign soil.
Russia flies its planes into our airspace, has its submarines sat in our waters causing mischief. It’s constantly using cyber warfare on Infrastructure across Europe. It uses jamming equipment to disrupt commercial aircraft which luckily hasn’t resulted in any accidents as of yet. It tampers with undersea lines for communication.
Like it or not we are at war with Russia, they want their old soviet borders back and they dangerously don’t care how many people get killed in the process. Should we just roll over and let them in the front door? Has the U.K. or the EU acted as the aggressor towards them? This could be easily solved if one side stopped and forged a better path for their country.
