Yes Doku on his day can be a joy to watch but on days when he isn't that, he needs to lurk more in and around the box, finish tap ins... Get in positions for one touch shooting is crucial.

I here what you're saying but that also seems like a systemic issue. Since Sterling left, no LW on the team (Jack, Doku, etc) have attacked the box from that position consistently.

Of course, Raz was particularly good with his off ball movement to get in good scoring chances and the players now need to do better but I don't really know what's the main issue. In years prior we did have prime Gundo and D. Silva occupying the LCM spot so they made things easier but seems like a bigger issue than the player.

Savio is two years younger and his season at Girona was better than anything Doku has ever produced. He had a much higher ceiling

Was willing to give this guy another season but he can't stay fit most of the time and isn't good enough on a consistent basis. And in games where it's tight and we need something from nothing, he draws a blank almost constantly. When we're playing well Doku plays well, but when we're off it like today he doesn't know how to inspire or ignite the lads around him. Haaland will be glad to see him go.

I gotta put some of it on pep because Aina was very aggressive which just begged for pep to let gvardiol overlap and pin aina back, but he never did that

Literally right at the start of the half he let the ball go under his foot out for a throw in because he's lazy as fuck.

He never once tracked his man back in the first half.

He always took an extra touch before crossing because he just has to do that dancing bollocks over the ball.
