11 | Jeremy Doku - 2024/25

Him, Savinho, Oscar Bobb are the future for our wings. They will terrify defenders for the next 10+ years. All of them have incredible raw ability. Jeremy was outstanding the other night. Once he improves his decision making (same with Savinho) they can all be amongst the world's best.

Not convinced by Savinho yet.
Bobb has the highest ceiling of the three.

Jezzer is very young and is desperate to please pep when he gets the chance to play , he was good last game but he has to know when to play other players in and when to pass it , there is no i in team

I thought the same. He’s no Mahrez(who is) but complete nonsense. What a talent that kid is
Different type to Mahrez though. Don’t think we’ve had a winger this good 1v1. Different qualities. In terms of a pure winger I don’t think there’s many better.

I feel like Bobb can mirror Bernardo in that he can play anywhere. Doku is the most explosive. He’s more unique than Savinho I’d say. Savinho maybe has the blend between the two.

I’d love a Doku , Bobb wing partnership.

I was really excited to see Oscar this season, and I would have agreed with you before his injury, but I worry it will affect his development. I hope it won't, though. He was class before the injury.

cant fault him for trying, but very hit or miss player. he gets the ball on the wing, you get excited and then he fails to beat the defender or when he does he puts in a bad cross. then you have Bernardo on the other side looking like 20% of the player we used to in recent years...

They tripled up on him such was the lack of threat from anywhere else. If we're expecting the man to do 3 players just to create a chance we're in serious trouble. Soon as they started double and tripling up on him, that should have been the cue to pass quicker and find the 2 spare men that had been left to mark Doku.

Why pep didn't go with a double threat I've no idea, putting savinho or even Nunes on with him would have opened spaces for them or drawn players back into position leaving doku 1v1.

He put in a few really good balls, that give and go with kdb then he laid it right across the box had to have somebody on the end of it, he couldn't do anymore in that instance. Whilst he didn't produce anything, he played his role tonight.

It baffled me that what tactics plan Pep had before the game. It seems no one else knew where to be when Doku got the ball and Doku did not know where they would be either. Did pep just hope he can score by himself beating 3 men?
