Doku changed City and made us dynamic and feared again. Any mistakes are worth the chaos.

But mistakes need to be balanced with goals and assists, and thats not happening

Never going to get the best out of Doku while the tempo of the team is so slow. A few first time passes wouldn't go a miss.

2ice Haaland stopped thinking the play was dead or about to be recycled only for Doku to spring free and put in a cross Hasland was too late to attack :(


You just gotta know with Doku, it might still come off. Even when it looks like it won't.

Doku got the cross ball though only because Haaland was not there. Also I don’t think Doku knew if he was crossing or shooting. When Doku switched to right, he got the ball with no one near him for a few times and ended with his “cross”. KDB decided to shoot himself later even Doku is unmarked at right.

It baffled me that what tactics plan Pep had before the game. It seems no one else knew where to be when Doku got the ball and Doku did not know where they would be either. Did pep just hope he can score by himself beating 3 men?

He always says the final 3rd is up to the players ability. He will put the process in place to get to that point.

The players are not performing good enough. It’s really that simple.

Doku has to work on when to release that final ball and where to pass it to. Prime example yesterday was in the 2nd half when he beat the player and hit it across the six yard box. Haaland was outside the six yard box. Maybe Doku expected Haaland to make a move nearer the goal line, who knows, but aimless balls across the area without looking where you're passing the ball is no use and allows fora quick counter attack.

If Navas had half Doku’s potential i’d have wanted us to persist with him

Think the bottom line is, Doku and Silvinhio are similar....always have that 'could do something' about them, because they have a turn of pace, usually because they don't know what they're going to do themselves, but most of the time offer little with little end product, and those type of wingers (frustrating) are 2 a penny. Mahrez and Sane had a footballing brain, which stood them out way above those types of wingers.
