PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Saw Big Steve said he’d been asked to go on BBC when the verdict dropped and then an hour later he also received a similar request from the ITV.

Almost like the media might have been vaguely briefed that something is imminent?

You're right to an extent but I would say that there have been plenty of signs of late - £180m of new signings, Haaland contract extension, Pep winking at the camera during a recent press conference even! - that point towards a positive outcome. I'm not having it that the club don't have any idea at this late stage. They'll surely know by now which way it has spun but are trying to keep a lid on it until the verdict is fully written up and announced.

Of course, my instincts could be totally wrong, in which case I'll look and feel like a right twat!

Almost like the media have been reading Bluemoon more likely, they know no more than we do on here. Don't try reading anything else into it.

I popped onto NewsNow, couldn’t find anything on there from the major outlets. Maybe the smaller, more needy, click-baiters are on it, but that’s the reason for their existence, to prey on the desperate.

I honestly think that if they weren't very confident of how the verdict might go we would not have seen the kind of transfer activity we did in the January window. The fact that we can apparently guarantee players signing that there's nothing to worry about says a lot to me. If they had been cautious in the window, seeing how we had pretty much lost all form up until then, I would now be concerned that things went badly. As it is all signs coming out of the club are "business as usual".

Thanks for that. You know, we all joke about how much shit gets posted on this thread but, on here, we have given ourselves a pretty good idea of what is happening and what is going to happen. Much better than anyone else seems to have, certainly much better than the press seem to have and much, much better than rival fans have.

The time frame from both the PL and city has always been Easter time i know we're waiting eager for news but not sure why people think it's coming sooner
 
I hope once we are cleared the club really goes for the jugular of those guilty of these fabrications, lies and malicious rumours. This has been hanging over the fanbase like a putrid black cloud since 2018 when the bloody leaks occurred. 2014 if you count the original Uefa charges. The best way of rebuilding our tarnished reputation is to expose the deliberate efforts to drag our name through the mud.
Cheats they call us. Cheats. That is one of the worst insults I can think of.
Should that go unpunished? Should we just accept a legal verdict and turn the cheek and continue to let them say 'we got off with it'?

Fuck that.
In times of disagreement and conflict I ask myself what would Maximus do in this situation?

:) Nooooo ...... You don't want to believe anything I say. I am one of those who have contributed by asking questions. If I have been able to summarise the answers into some sort of coherent position that is entirely due to the people providing the answers. You know who they are.

On the other hand, if I have summarised in a way that is incorrect, that is down to those cunts answering my questions wrongly. Not my fault :)
