I promise you IBD is not just an excuse, it can ruin people’s livesThe appendicitis operation was in March 2023. After that, he had a great season and was named POTY last season.
These are just another excuses.

Because he’s a fucking incredible player, came through the academy, won POTY last year and been involved in pretty much everything we’ve won in the last 6 years. He's not just been poor he's been awful.
Whatever the issue, I can't see why Pep keeps picking him.
Where's that unlike button when you need it. My sister has it and it's fucking awful.I promise you IBD is not just an excuse, it can ruin people’s lives

God, 1 poor season and we through him to the wolves.
I agree he’s been poor, but that’s one season out of 6 or 7 in my opinion. That’s not enough to say he needs a change, as you suggested.
Most of the team has been poor as well
This one?

What's going on with Foden? JACK GAUGHAN on issue holding him back
JACK GAUGHAN: It was 48 hours after Phil Foden had delivered history for Manchester City that he sat inside the opulent Mottram Hall, content and absolutely sure of himself as a player.www.dailymail.co.uk

You don't pick a professional sports team on sentiment. Sentiment is for fans.
Repeatedly picking a player who is clearly off form (for whatever reason) does no more than expose them to criticism.
The simple fact is that Phil has looked disinterested in games and has been one of our least effective players this season, but Pep continues to select him ahead of Grealish, Nunes, McAtee etc.
As I've said, the player is still in there but personally, I believe that he needs a change of either club, coach, or both, to get back on track.
Terrible analogy.Imagine going to work on the factory line and telling your line manager that you've had a "Bit of a knock" or " I'm not quite up to it", wonder what the response would be?
Backing the lad to get back into form?
I reckon he’s just played to much football from a very early age and appears to be ‘burnt out’, the lad needs a good rest to ‘reset’ and discover his love for the game.
We all wish him the best and for him to perform like we know he is capable of.
A friend of min told me he had some respiratory issues early in the season, had a chest infection and couldn't shake it off. Not sure how true it was. Crohn's or colitis etc are pretty serious diseases and can totally ruin your life. Hope he gets the support he needs, Doesn't help when Tuchal comes and criticises him like he did especially if he is mentally fragile right now.Well documented fact is Phil had an appendix operation last year.
Crohn’s disease can follow from appendix problems which has been allegedly suggested he is now suffering from.
This disease is serious and will be difficult to cope with.
Just saying
You don't think Tuchel would of known if there was an issue? I think the medical staff at City and England would know of any medical issues. Like I said from what somebody told me, he had a problem following an illness but this was back in Aug/Sept time. Had struggled for the bulk of the 1st half of the season. As for his mental issues, I'm sure the Psychs at City and England know about. You don't think Tuchel would of known if there was an issue?
