The one positive about this thread is that it’s giving Jack’s thread a couple of days off.
you can add rico lewis thread in there as well and people are crying out for o'reilly and other academy's players to come through and this is how people speak about the 2 that have come through the academy

Where's that unlike button when you need it. My sister has it and it's fucking awful.
I have a close friend who has it as well, and it changed his life completely. If you don’t get the medication right, everyday can feel like absolute hell. Wouldn’t wish IBD on my worst enemy

If this is true then it’s probably time he was moved on for his own benefit I think.

I love Foden and really thought he was going to become the world’s best but various factors have meant he hasn’t been able to do that.

Being at one of the very best football clubs in the world I have no doubt is draining but the best players rise to the occasion each and every season. No point in sacrificing your mental wellbeing to try and please anyone, a step down where there is less pressure would do him the world of good, West Ham or someone like that.

Hilarious post. No nothing spouting nonsense

The appendicitis operation was in March 2023. After that, he had a great season and was named POTY last season.
These are just another excuses.
Crohn's, IBD, Colitis are all awful diseases. My niece has had Crohn's for the last 5 years. Totally ruining her life, going from medication to medication. You can have a few good months then you get an attack. All these auto immune diseases are a nightmare. I hope Phil is not suffering from any of these things

You don't pick a professional sports team on sentiment. Sentiment is for fans.

Repeatedly picking a player who is clearly off form (for whatever reason) does no more than expose them to criticism.

The simple fact is that Phil has looked disinterested in games and has been one of our least effective players this season, but Pep continues to select him ahead of Grealish, Nunes, McAtee etc.

As I've said, the player is still in there but personally, I believe that he needs a change of either club, coach, or both, to get back on track.
Makes me recall the old days when City had a "reserve team" for players temporarily out of form, returning from injury or on the cusp of breaking into the first team.
As a lad, I used to get in for free and sit on the wall with my frozen Jubbly.

Wilshere had glass ankles, the surgeon who worked on his initial injury was surprised he was still walking when he saw him 5 years later.

Gotze had a rare metabolic disorder.

Ronaldo was still unreal he just loved partying and was about 12kg’s overweight.

Balotelli was just a nutcase.

Dunno what’s happening with Phil, unless the club have been deliberately quiet about whatever illnesses or issues he was having at the start of the season, and it was more serious than let on, then really nothing has happened for him to lose all form and physicality.

I reckon it’s all mental personally. He’ll be back anyway, back the lad.
Ronaldo's knee exploded a few times too

Imagine going to work on the factory line and telling your line manager that you've had a "Bit of a knock" or " I'm not quite up to it", wonder what the response would be?
If the success of the factory line is dependent on you being your absolute best, and there's a person who is able to fulfil your role adequately whilst you recuperate, all to the ultimate intention that the organisation is able to continue to deliver massive success, I'd expect my line manager to be fully on board.

Yup, just isn't happening like that in any factory is it? It's a reply conducive to the bluemoon debating not the real world society.

In the real world it's a P45 and a shit reference.

Think we might be able to find a forum that would be better for you to talk shite in

If he’s suffering from an illness, the company would be expected to make reasonable adjustments to allow him to continue. This is enshrined in law.

But again, how you think a player on £250k a week, on a 5 year contract, considered a sellable asset, playing a sport is in anyway similar to a factory worker, keep digging.

You’re making him sound like Winston Bogarde. He’s our best ever academy graduate. He was player of the year last year, out of 20 teams. If he was the best factory worker in the country, maybe they wouldn’t fire him after 6 mediocre months, eh?

Yeah but Foden doesn't work in a factory does he? It's not the real world, which was my point.

Also, any normal person who works on a factory doesn't represent a book value as an asset on the balance sheet do they?

Talksport got a debate on him now.
Callers coming in saying he is so good and had just had a loss of form.
