Once you strip out the financial game playing, Chelsea's finances don't look great. The hotel and women's team transactions are simply papering over the cracks. The future is brown.

Announced a £128.4m profit for the year ending June 24. They reported a profit on sale of subsidiaries of £198.7m. The only notable sale of any subsidiaries that we are aware of was them selling their women's team to themselves. remains to be seen whether there was anything else, we'll discover that when the full statement is released to see whether theres anymore hotels etc or whether they just valued the women's side at £200m.

Personally I find this utterly hilarious, they're making a complete mockery of ffp/psr, good on them for doing so and I hope they continue to do so.

For those that are always questioning Chelsea's ability to spend, that profit more than clears the losses from 2 seasons back, so with this year being the third in the rolling calculation, they can afford to take a major loss and be fine and looking forward to summer spending which will be included for the financial statements in 2 years. They'll have a near 100m loss erased from their calculations, they'll have to be careful in terms of planning for a further year ahead when this big profit drops off the calculations but they're basically free to spend big again this summer and boil even more piss.
If selling the women's team to themselves isn't a related party transaction, the definition of that term must be extremely loose.

Like I posted on another thread the premier last season could have voted for the sales of assets like hotels woman's team to be not allowable for ffp like uefa do! The pension voted it be fine for them to do it!
So how do they stand in regard to CL if uefa don't allow these workaround 'internal' sales in their fiscal rules?

What is the point of having FFP and PSR rules ? clearly, it's only Manchester City that has to be the main problem and are cheating the system, could you imagine City selling the ladies' team and the City academy to ourselves and getting away with it

It's OK because Chelsea reported themselves to the PL and they got a fair hearing from the yank shills at PL house.

Nothing to see here.

You actually could if you wanted to, but you won't do it because you don't need to resort to stupid morally dubious financial engineering like that to comply with the PSR rules. Technically this isn't against the rules. It should be but it isn't.

100% it does but premier clubs voted its fine because they'll might want to do the same in the future I'd expect

If it was voted on, that would mean they would need at least 14 clubs to agree? Any information around on who voted which way?

It was voted on last year and All the American clubs I'd presume agreed I'd expect Brighton Forest I'd expect as well! They want an outlet if they in trouble in the future if they get in trouble

No surprises with some I'm sure. Would be interested to know how we voted considering all the work taking place around the North Stand etc.

Not sure Brighton would vote for anything that allows manipulation of the rules. Their model has been to trade up and head towards sustainability. Paid back Tony Bloom over £100m in the past two sets of accounts.

Good. I want the spotlight on these owners. I want them under scrutiny. Either run the football club properly without all the loophole exploiting, financial engineering game of cat and mouse with the PSR/FFP rules or get the fuck out of my club.

There is a not insignificant chance that Strasbourg finish higher in Ligue 1 than Chelsea in the PL, in which case only one of us can enter the CL as we're owned by the same owners and the nod usually goes to the team that finished higher in the table. We're 4th at the moment, barely holding on and a decent chance we could finish 5th or even 6th. Strasbourg are currently 6th but only 4 points separate them and Monaco in 2nd. So something to keep an eye on.

Your club has been scrutinised too much over the years, I wont be a mouthpiece for the rag cartel and compound your problems citing financial irregularities whilst the cartel burn money on the pyres of deceit and couldn't give a fuck because they are excused.
