Could be a fantastic squad-player as he continues to develop.

Initially thought he would imøact games more with his dribbling when he broke through, but he is turning into a slighly different player that often looks anonymous, to his detriment.

But he could be our Thomas Muller

Not a chance!

He is not City standard, if City’s standard is competing for 4 trophies per season and going deep in all of them, while winning a few.

He can be a squad player. I suppose, but he should want more than that. He’s got a drawer of medals, so now it’s time to go and enjoy his football, week in, week out, with a smaller club.

I can’t see any way that he thrives in a Top 6 team. He is pretty skillful and has a nose for a goal, but he’s “meh” in every other regard and should have scored 4 today. He lacks speed and physicality, but isn’t good enough to live off his wits.
I know what you mean, but the Cubs or White Sox line up make me shudder ;-)
His game time is down to the boss did he play well ? Yes IMHO.

Like Lewis, if he wants a squad role then... let's just see.

Don't rate him that highly personally but if a local lad wants to stay and fight then they should be given that chance.

I remain unconvinced by him.

Should have scored 4 against Palace, his finishing needs to improve.

Weirdly, the game seems to go on around him, he needs to get involved more.

As a local lad and City fan I really want to like this lad but I have never known a home grown kid show so little personality and passion on the pitch.

He is clearly a talent but lacks that certain something for me to make it at the top level.

Sounds like he could be off to Germany , either Dortmund/Bayer, would be a great move for me to find himself.
I said this to you in the match day forum. Respectfully, What a load of shite.

Do you see no passion when he scores? When he celebrates like a fan would. Do you see no footballing personality, when he constantly gets into great positions, that barely any of our other attackers do. Some of his finishes this season have been excellent as well.

I really don’t understand the argument you’re trying to make, especially for a young player that barely gets a chance and plays a game every six weeks or more

Was I watching a different game? He scored a goal and was directly involved in two other goals.

He’s now being judged for not scoring four goals? I presume your saying the same about Marmoush then who also could have got a few more

Every games he’s played, he’s either scored or been involved, despite barely playing. I think your being incredibly harsh.

I think he'll go this summer as he's only got 1 season left on his contract. I'd say 90% chance of him moving.

But I also think with Foden struggling for a full season.. it might make sense to keep him around just to hedge risk.

There's no guarantee Foden will come back to his previous self.. as much as we all want it and McAtee seems to have goals him in him which we are lacking.

I meant that if he imposed himself on the game a bit more then he would do even better.

He seems able to create/score without really being involved in the game that much - according to OPTA, against Palace he made 18 passes during the 82 minutes he was on the pitch.

I think his touches are a bit low because he runs behind his marker rather than just showing for the simple pass. Presume he has Peps blessing to do this but as a fan it does seem a bit strange.

He is one I would keep around. I like him. He’s technically good, very good in the tight spaces - as Pep commented on. Good movement inside the box - hence a fairly high number of goal involvements this season given his playing time.

Don’t see the need to sell. I would bet on him thriving elsewhere. The only way I would sell is if it got the Wirtz deal done.

I think most of us thought he would be a David Silva type player, which is weird because he wasn't that during his time in the academy. He has also been an attacking midfielder/ second striker kind of player. We have many players that are good on the ball and are experts at keeping possession, it is nice to have a few players with an eye for goal.

A load of shit?

He is a player that won't be at the club next season for a reason.

He had a huge chance to become part of this side with loss of form, fatigue and injuries, he simply has not showed enough.

And as I have explained to you many times, he simply does not show enough on the pitch when he has had game time, often goes missing and oftem looks like he is going through the motions.

He is without doubt a talent and will have a great career in the game but at this stage is way off.

I don't understand how people can say he's not our standard when he's had a better season than pretty much every City player in his position.

But we saw this with Palmer. Some of you just really can't spot talent.
Let’s save that post and revisit it in, oh, say 5 years, when he’s at his “peak!”
