He says he is now pain free, hence he is playing better. I would have offered him another year. Seems we have offered Gundo a year when we should have offered it to Kev.

I think the right call would have been to not offer either an extension on the basis of age.

While I understand that Gundogan earned his as part of his contract and I'm okay with it. Not offering Kev is not a mistake. The mistake was giving Gundo a contract that had an auto-extend in it.

Just read this bollocks. KDB at his best was easily better than Lampard and to suggest the Gerrard is even near his quality is farcical.
I still maintain my view that David Silva shades it as best ever in a City shirt though;)
I don’t know who the writer of this piece is and having read it, he is clearly not a journalist of any sort. I could look him up but I don’t care enough. He’s probably just a sad armchair fan who gets his views from Sky Sports..

Not necessarily the case. He’s said he’s pain free for the first time in ages, that seems to have made a huge difference.

That’s something I am worried too and hope therefore that Viana goes with players who can play also for the coach in 1-2 years.
