Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

Need to hear the audio of the VAR decision to get the ref to look at the monitor. If it was anything other than the following then it shouldn't have been awarded:

VAR "Did you see the contact on the back leg?"

Useless twunt with the whistle "No"

VAR "Go look at the monitor"

VAR was not brought in to re-referee games only to correct clear and obvious errors and if he saw the contact and decided in real time it wasn't enough then he should not go and get another look.

He touched the ball, he didn’t get possession of the ball though, it hardly moved and was still in the attackers line. The contact was pretty obvious to me, in real time I was surprised he didn’t give it with Dias running across the line.
Whilst getting a touch on the ball first doesn’t prevent it from being a foul ( except in Subbuteo rules) nine times out of ten referees will not call a foul when the ball is played first. Indeed that seemed to be the reason no foul was given when Marmoush was subjected to a similar challenge a little later in the game.

Let throws be taken from up to 15yds from where they should have been all game then late on we got one in the corner and he made us take it in the exact spot
He’s weak and clueless easily manipulated he saw the pen as no foul waved for the villa player to get up, should have had the balls to stick with his correct original decision
That throw in was what summed him up for me we couldn’t have got much nearer to the corner flag for ours, however Villa players were allowed to march up the touchline for 5, 10 and 15 yards. He was a bloody disgrace.

The inconsistency is the only constant. Failure to book rogers for a second time for standing on the foot of a player making a break and then he books Gvardiol for the same thing a moment later.

It would be acceptable if somewhat quirky if we didn’t see it every single weekend.

I would love Pep to question his impartiality publicly.

As I said, and you ignored, it was not a clear and obvious error.

You think it was a penalty, I do not. As the prick Pawson also thought in real time with a clear view. Scandalous for VAR to get involved. In my opinion.

Yep.. Dias got some of the ball first and how many times do you hear var tell us it was a coming together plus the referee never gave it so bar has to be high to turn it over! If the referee gave it I wouldn't be happy but I'd except it more because of that bar!

We will see an identical incident and referee won't give it var will agree with him and we will hear that var thought it was a coming together and player got some of the ball! With var they can manipulate it if these var kunts has a unconscious bias

Just remembered the way he blew for a Villa free kick when Doku was through 1v1 with their keeper. He nearly dropped his whistle in his haste to get it blown quickly.

Why not let play unfold, see if he scores and then let VAR decide when it was a free kick or not… because it didn’t look like a free kick from where I was.

got the ball, gaining possession doesn't come into it, or shouldn't. there was contact but it was a footballing collision for want of a better description.

Villa took at least 3 throw ins with both feet on the pitch. Assistant should have picked this up.

And yet the villa mob in SS3 were moaning like fuck.

He got lots wrong including eventually a pen but to finish with more yellows than them was criminal.

It’s almost as if in the minds of football fans, a referee can be blatantly biased against both teams simultaneously.

Pep can't question his impartiality without risking all sorts of bother, but he can question the ludicrous inconsistency.
He could also question the fouls to card ratio as we seem to get a lot more cards than our opponents when committing the same number of fouls.

You'd only get cunts like Neville saying it's because every foul we do is a tactical one.
