Flexi Gold season ticket

We will get an opportunity to relocate though which is good news.
 
i don't even know what flexi gold is!
sounds confusing to this 59 year old software developer (although tbf i've made no effort).

i just buy my 6+2 tickets when they go on sale every july and if i need one during the season i go on the city website and buy one. works smoothly for me.

not bothering with the semi as too expensive to take my daughter for even half decent seats. and i live in london. wembley burnout?

just been chatting on a newcastle website. guys complaining there that if they apply for every home game they have a reasonable chance of getting to see 2 to 3 matches. now thats messed up.
 
Renewed my ST manually to check if there was any option of registering interest for my Close linked Junior. Nothing on there that I could see.

The email and renewal hub info states that a number of tickets will be available and further details will follow after the renewal window closes which I believe is the 11th. Reading between the lines we should get this information before the relocation window (which you may need to do) opens on the 16th.

Not 100% sure if they will automatically offer them out for all closely linked Juniors or whether we need to register interest again like we did last season but there isn't much time between those dates to register and for the club to do an assessment/approval.

As an example last July I had to join the big queue with everyone and quickly purchase individual tickets for the games for my son. I managed to get a seat within 5 away from us for a few games, but unable to get any in our block for the final game of the season or united/liverpool. This was a big pain sat in queues and rushing around/missing out.

I purchased 6 games for a total of £204. I then had to cancel two of them due to them being shifted to midweek evening games. Fortunately managed to get tickets lastminute near to us for the recent palace / villa games to make up for the cancellations.

£204 for 6 games this season plus a £20 membership fee.
With the flexi gold there is a £75 fee and then all 19 games would cost £250 in our area, the same price as a full junior ST. The pricing varies so the higher category games are more expensive but the total price is the same.
So if he goes to 10 of them, including the '"cat a'" games, it's probably going to cost around £75+£130ish.
10 games for less than the price of 6, guaranteed availability of the 'big games'*** and in a guaranteed seat.
It also means you can opt to buy the ticket or not much closer to the game, avoiding requesting cancellations because you have had to buy a ticket in July for a game in April the next year.

***Although at the minute the 'big games' aren't really proving to be better at the minute when you watch Arsenal come and park the bus and waste time. Villa wasting time from the start, etc!

It’s on the email, I also called today to confirm, after the renewal window closes a relocation window will open

yes thats how it works every season. Everyone has to renew first, then those that have renewed are allowed to relocate during a second window. Anyone who hasn't renewed will have their seat made available to those that have. Obviously seats keep popping up throughout the window as people move to other places too.

My first experience of it too, I’m intrigued to see if flexi golds are only offered parts of the ground or everywhere… I’m hoping everywhere

Villa is not and never will be a big game.

We played alright and it was a good game with a brilliant ending.

The speed at which it sold out during the initial sale in July would suggest otherwise. Last and 2nd from last games at home sold out quickly at premium prices along with rags, liverpool and bournemouth. Villa had the same pricing as Spurs which I'm assuming most seasons would be classed as a big game.

Off topic but yes we played alright. Sitting there watching all the time wasting be allowed by the referee from the first few minutes in after you had just paid £40 for a 10year old to take to it is a bit infuriating. Obviously the last minute made up for it but towards that final whistle I was feeling very disappointed. Those endings are what we all live for (when it goes our way).
What I was trying to say is that the big games such as Arsenal this season and some of the united games have been far worse value for money as a spectator of the game than the likes of Ipswich and other 'lower' teams that actually came and had a go without the time wasting and faking injuries etc.

That's only because people thought we could be clinching or near enough clinching a title.

If Bournemouth was in January it would be Category C and not sold out, Villa probably Category B.

I'm not a fan of this Category business, especially now they are using which month a game is played in as a criteria.

On the bright side, Tuesday was brilliant and your 10 yo has that memory of one of our stand out games of the season.

It’s not 100% clear but as far as I can tell, once this year’s flexi’s with 16+ games have taken up the option of a regular ST, then they are at that point Gold/ Platinum and will be in exactly the same position as everyone else when the relocation window opens.
 
I had a flexi gold this season, I now qualify for a full season ticket again ( had to give it up a few years ago )
Apart from the initial £150 outlay, I think it's been brilliant for me, I've attended every home game.
What is the difference between a gold and platinum season card, any major benefits for either.

Platinum gets you double season ticket points
