Flexi Gold season ticket

The Rags aren't interested in replicating the Flexi-Gold Scam.

Manchester United have told supporters they have no plans to introduce a pay-as-you-go season ticket option similar to the controversial flexi-gold scheme introduced by Manchester City.

City rolled out the flexi-gold ticket last season rather than offering new season tickets. They have 1,100 flexi-gold users who pay a £150 membership fee, which guarantees them the option of buying a ticket in the same seat for all 19 Premier League games.

The introduction of the scheme has caused anger among City supporters. In a letter to chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak from the six main City supporters' groups in February, fans raised the issue of no new season tickets since 2021, even in cases where tickets are not renewed.

"Can we please have a guarantee that the issue Manchester City fans are having in regards to woeful schemes like flexi-gold season tickets will not be implemented at Old Trafford and Manchester United. This is fan exploitation, and essentially dynamic pricing (in other words touting)?"

In response, United said: "We are not introducing a pay-as-you-go option similar to this."(scam)

PS. Khaldoon, Soriano and the other Directors still haven't replied to the letter publicly.

Here's an interesting one for you. Checked my City account this morning and the Villa game is shown in my reservations. Although the game originally scheduled for 28 April has now been postponed. Went through with it anyway, but no price showing. Carried on and 'purchased' the ticket anyway. Everything went through ok and I have received confirmation. Ticket is now showing in my account. Fellow Flexi Golders be aware. I'm sure I'll get charged at some point but is there a chance some could miss the 3 day window due to uncertainty.

Alex@City Matters, perhaps you could clarify please?

15 league games over 2 seasons. If I remember correctly, only seats available were in blocks 101,109, 302 & 308 and similar areas in Colin Bell Stand.

Kids with family members with season tickets could sit anywhere, I think. No criteria

Can those that got them in those blocks re-locate next season?

I've got the same. Won't be buying until I know if I can go, which is at the very least what "flexi" should mean. Would hope there's another window after confirmed but I won't hold my breath

You can buy it and then get a full refund up to 7 days before kick off if you can’t go on the rearranged date.
I can’t personally do the Monday but will buy my seat and then if I can’t do the rearranged fixture, I will sell it back to the club. Let’s be honest, they would prefer that anyway so they can sell it for £65 plus to a member!

The club is still saying flexi-gold holders won’t be able to renew onto traditional STs, which suggests another year without any Gold STs going on sale.

However - does anyone have an idea if any new flexi-golds will be going on sale? With everything that’s gone on this season it would be good to see some made available to kids of existing Gold and flexi-gold holders, as well as adult regulars who missed out last time. Flexis are not perfect but they are definitely better than nowt.

I don’t ‘know’ anything. But well before this date last year, they had sent out invites to ST holders who have an active junior membership, strongly linked to their account, to register interest in a junior flexi.

I’ve not heard of anything similar happening this year.

Hopefully they’re just approaching it a different way this time round. But it’s not inspiring confidence in me.

Yes, I remember it being earlier last year too. Fingers crossed.

Whilst I like the FG concept, particularly for a Junior

I keep missing the fucking window.

It started off so well too but since Christmas it's been a nightmare.

Missed the fucking Wolves window now!

The inconsistent fixture calendar is a factor, you can go weeks without a home game and too many midweek games!

I had to switch to a work account I use daily to stay on top of it!
