Flexi Gold season ticket

I had a flexi gold this season, I now qualify for a full season ticket again ( had to give it up a few years ago )
Apart from the initial £150 outlay, I think it's been brilliant for me, I've attended every home game.
What is the difference between a gold and platinum season card, any major benefits for either.
As a platinum member you get to flex your wealth and pay for extra points which may help secure better away tickets or final tickets if you are currently borderline being able to get them, if you are already miles away there's no point really.

Platinum tickets is another method that the club came up with to fleece loyal fans.

Anyone who forked out for that is an absolute mug.

I said at the time (10 years ago?) I’d rather miss out on games than pay that bullshit tax on principle.

I don’t agree with it but as it’s the only way of getting enough points to go to away games regularly, I wouldn’t call people mugs, for wanting to support City.

14 years ago, and it was the price of one away ticket. Those who couldn't afford it certainly couldn't afford to go to away games.

For the top 10% or so of points holders, it's worth paying to keep up; for the rest of us, there's no point until they change to a rolling points system. I'd like to see it scrapped however.

With no points for anything but home games now, in theory those qualifying for away tickets should be gradually getting lower each season, as people at the top die or stop buying away tickets for other reasons. As thousands of people below them will be accumulating the maximum points possible each season.

In practice, it seems the complete opposite is true. But I think that’s been discussed at great length on numerous other threads.

So when your window opens to by match day tickets are you getting tickets at a discounted price or paying the likes of £70 + for the big games ??

Discounted. If you do all the games it ends up as the same price as a gold ST in that seat (plus the £150 charge for 24/25 - refunded pro rata from next season)

I did it for 2/3 seasons just to bump my points as at the time I was going to probably half the away games.

When I decided to stop going away I reverted to Gold.

I'm not sure it actually helped me with away matches as like now according to posters on here the points keep going up every year more than what they can accrue but, it did move me up enough to be safe for finals, big home cup games etc as long as I'm in the relevant scheme.

My mate who has a 5/6 year start on me has fewer points as he didn't go away apart from the odd game and if he does a cup match it's usually via a spare. He's used my lads ST for Wembley.... suppose it's a bit of queue jumping as he'd be struck with crazy priced seats otherwise but at least he's a 18/19 game a season ST holder from the move to the Etihad.

Just had an email that the Spurs (H) window is open.

So less than 72 hour window for a game over 7 weeks away, why not just give everyone a full week.

I just rang them up and told them I through games were released 3 weeks before all game for flexi gold and they told me to ignore email and said must be a error I thought 7 weeks was too early

By this time last year we had already had the email to tell us how much the matches would cost for those on flexi golds.
Mine last year for example were…

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, united - £66

Villa, Bournemouth, Everton, Newcastle, spurs -£49

Brighton, palace, West Ham, wolves - £42

Brentford, Fulham, Ipswich, Leicester, forest - £31

Southampton - £28

This all adds up to £860 which was the cost of a season ticket where I sat last year in the east stand level 3.

I relocated this year to south stand level 3 to be able to get a junior flexi gold next to me for my son.
Where my seat is, the gold season ticket is priced at £425 so I’m expecting a lot cheaper tickets from those above!
Has anyone on a flexi gold had their email yet?
Cheers
