PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I will repeat this till i am blue in the face, the time taken has absolutely zero bearing on the nature of the decision, there is 115 charges all of which have to be explained and documented in a watertight fashion and the panel have to give absolute legal reasoning as to why they have come to the reasoning that they did, this document will run into 1000s of pages and be pored over and discussed in minute detail, so it stands to reason it takes the time it takes, the time has no bearing against the nature of the decision, as much as we would all like them to say masters is a chancer of a **** who went headlong into a fraudulent investigation at the behest of a bunch of corrupt cartel pricks, to put that in legalese takes time.
They are working on pagination, spell check and a new Ink catridge toner for printer. With tariffs the supply chain has been disrupted.

Man City demand sensitive financial information from other clubs amid legal battle with Premier League

Interesting development this, if City are supposed to have had extra money from Etihad and Etisalat payed for directly funded by Shielkh Mansour. How is this any different to interest free director loans going into the four clubs mentioned?

The PL doesn’t apply its rules fairly and certainly not in a legal manner. Even Liverpool have had director loans and what advantage did they get over other clubs by using this avenue? If they did investigate that’s nearly a quarter of the league bang to rights. The PL won’t do as it would open up a can of worms which could destroy the league, they need to reach a settlement with City for City to stop pulling at the associated parties string which I think will also end up with them backing down on their bullshit 115 charges.

Isn’t it too late to back down on the 115 issue - which is the most important thing to our club

My whole worry on this is have they established maybe ADUG had disguised owner investment and we are just saying ok well what about these?

Way too late, although it is getting more difficult to separate the APT case (which this demand for disclosure relates to) from the 115 charges.
Maybe useful if an appeal is required (for 115) - which it hopefully won’t be!!

yeah no chance of it not going the distance at this stage. either the PL are happy with the way it has gone and won't back down or city are happy with proceedings and want to see it through.
I'm more and more of the mind that the PL are anything but happy with the way it's gone, although it's definitely too late for them to change their minds now. I don't think City would let them regardless.

I would love to know if those clubs that have used these self funded loans, if they would have breached PSR/FFP without them, and by how much.

I mean its quite shocking really, that the PL have allowed a back door for certain clubs to breach rules whilst throwing shit at our club.

And to think, no one would know about this without City plugging away at it.

I can’t see how the PL could realistically back down at this point.
CEO, Chairman, General Counsel, and the NED who was involved in “detailed” analysis of City regarding APT would all have to go. The PL would go on, but its top table execs would be fucked - so they’ll have to see it through to the bitter end.

The time to do a deal was before the arbitration started, not after it's finished and the KCs are writing up the results. The money (and significant amounts of it) has already been spent on the legal fees. It's far too late now - the die is cast and all parties now wait to see where it lands.

Yes this is definitely the concern. Looks to my untrained eye that we have failed in some of the things we have argued and have now gone on the attack saying if you’re going to punish us for this then you need to punish XYZ for it as well.

On one hand I’m glad the club are coming out fighting but on the other it is making me think we have not been as successful as some were thinking we’d be.

It’s all still guesswork though as I don’t have a clue!! Woohoo back to waiting!!

I was at a Price of Football Live event with Kieran McGuire Monday night. Apparently if the 3 clubs who went down last season go back up (Leeds and Burnley already promoted with Sheff U in the play offs) it will save the PL £120m in parachute payments. That’s more or less the PLs legal fees for the last couple of seasons.
