PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Stefan the authoritative voice there. Good to hear him stress how the clubs currently falling foul are the ones who voted for FFP in the first place. A point forgotten by most.
Oh lord. We better be found not guilty to the vast majority of this. Another bloody year or so of appeal and counter appeal would be appalling.

@slbsn was excellent as ever.

Hearing that the potential for porential appeals and sanction hearings going on well into next year is rather depressing.
He was indeed as excellent and informative as he always is on this subject.
As a fan, I can sometimes find myself getting frustrated with his even-handedness (playing down our chances etc) but then I remember that he is a qualified and experienced financial lawyer and it is in his nature to be so. And very good at it he is too.
We’re lucky to have him on here.

As an aside, I believe that the subtle shift recently to “oh my god, this could drag on for years and it’s damaging ‘the product’ “ is perhaps a device by the media and their acolytes to gradually set the future narrative for when City are cleared of all serious wrong doing from “they were entirely innocent” to one of “they bloody did it but the PL had to let them off to avoid dragging the good name of our game through the mud for any longer. Those bloody grinning Arab bastards”

I expect full exoneration of all the serious charges and a damning verdict of “guilty as sin” on a minor, technical, charge of “failing to provide all requested information, subject to clause III, sub-section X, paragraph iv, rule 349b” which of course those entirely non-racist paragons of virtue in the British media, all of it, will shout about for the next few years.

You are aware that the PL can appeal as well if they're not happy with the decision?

:(
But if the full scale of their corruption and incompetence is revealed, they might consider discretion as the better part of valour, and for the sake of the PLs image and well-being, it would be better to slink off into the night and let sleeping dogs lie.
That’s if they are really concerned about the welfare of the game as it appears that they have more important considerations and priorities, such as the well-being of certain clubs.

If they do not win, it would be stupid for them to appeal. This issue is very damaging to the PL and they need it resolved asap. However, I can imagine the likes of Levy, Fenway and Kroenke pushing the PL to appeal.

He was told (by his agent?) I believe, that if he scored to celebrate alone in order to get all the cameras on him alone, and if a team mate scored - get on top of the huddle to get prime position in the snap.
Ronaldo certainly took that lesson to heart. Last night was embarrassing.

And Baby Spice always looked fit in her mini - dress !!
I was with 2 mates on a jolly in Germany and we had to catch a flight from Frankfurt to Dresden.
The plane was a small executive jet and prior to our using it had been used by The Spice Girls on tour for a week, as the steward informed us.
One of my mates, Bill xxxxxxx, (big City fan) who passed away a few years ago made a bid to get on the plane first and once on board proceeded to sit briefly on every seat.
That way he said he felt close to all the girls who were "all prostitutes"!
I missed out on that - bugger!
Hahaha.
