PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Arsehole Aldridge has heard we're getting a points deduction. Oh fuck!

Former Liverpool star has theory for Man City spending

And former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has a theory that there is a reason why City have been bringing in so many new players - believing it points towards a points deduction or transfer embargo being unlikely.

"There can only be two possible conclusions to draw from Manchester City’s huge transfer spending since the turn of the year," Aldridge wrote in a Sunday World column.

"I can’t believe it has taken this long to come up with a verdict and City’s huge spending in the transfer market since the start of 2025 leads me to suspect they know what is likely to happen.

"Either they are making pre-emptive moves to sign players in case they are hit with a transfer embargo or they know they are going to be found not guilty and are planning a new era of domination.

He didnt say that. Quite the opposite. He's a total dick but he was speculating on why we had spent big already and said it was either because we were worried about a transfer ban or, because we knew we were going to win the case and were investing in rebuilding to dominate again in future years. He also said that he couldn't believe that Pep would have signed an extension unless he, and city believed they had won the case.

The equivalent of asking Anne Frank for her favourite Panzer division

It's one of Blue Anon's weirder adamant conspiracies that "Magic Hat" and Nick Harris are the exact same person. Always have different styles from my perspective, though they've both gone a bit mad with their conspiracies in the other direction. The whole case is a fascinating study in social psychology on how fandom (insider/outsider groups), the internet, conspiracy theorising and complex legal/business secrecy works to bring out the worst in everyone imo.

I don’t think it could possibly be more obvious that they’re the same person.
