Get ready for a lot of rhetoric from the media really pushing the narrative that the rags only having to contend with domestic football next season will help their campaign.

No it won't.

It's going to hinder it drastically. There's a lot of talk about player burnout and game fatigue. While this is true to a point. Most professional footballers are conditioned to playing every three days.

It's going to be a logistical nightmare to manage that squad next season. Players will quickly become de-conditioned. Playing only once a week will negate the opportunity to rotate and players will become restless which will cause tension within the camp.

I think they'll be there soon enough.

The main driver of success in football is money. Always has been, always will be. The team with the most outlay usually wins the league.

People don't understand the true incompetence of United's current form. It is a performance level akin to Leicester winning the league but in the opposite direction.

However, football is a problem often solved by money and they have a fuck ton of it. They'll be back.
Thing is, they've always had and spent a fuck ton of money, yet they've been absolutely shite despite it

Agree but like it was always going to be impossible for Leicester to sustain their incredible overperformance, it will be equally difficult for United to continue to sustain their Biblically sized incompetence over the longer term

I edited my reply to give a bit more detail
I've just read it.

I don't agree with you I'm afraid.

The rags have spent over a Billion pounds since the pisscan slunked away. There's a difference between spending money and investing it. The rags are so behind the game they're spending has become out of control with no mid to long-term plans.

Clubs like MCFC, Liverpool and to a lesser degree Chelsea have invested in a structure that suits their team dynamics. The rags on the other hand are so desperate for things to work out that they're forcing the issue and hoping that paying higher wages will translate to success on the pitch.

See the MUEN still trotting out that Mbueno would rather sign for the rags " in order to help Amorim with the challenge of improving the team ( or shite to that effect ),

Which translated means that the rags are throwing far more money at him than Spurs !

So fucking transparent .

Even talksport now concede any player goes to them for the money, even their own fans!

They could

The problem is I think the gap is widening between the newly promoted teams and the rest, it's starting to look an incredible struggle for newly promoted teams to even complete, so i think there will always be 3 teams shitter than them, at least for the foreseeable future

Still, I'm ok to see them floating around the bottom half. In a way, it's even more humiliating, seeing them just be one of those teams that are basically making up the numbers.
And, while relegation would be embarrassing for them, as well as fucking hilarious for the rest of us, while they are struggling in the lower half of the League, that means no European football, and therefore no means of servicing the debt, which means it will grow, which, in turn will limit their ability to recruit quality players.

And so, the downward spiral will continue.

Hopefully.

But their problem is the level of debt that they have built up over the last two decades, and the lack of European football to help pay it off, plus the lower matchday income at the swamp, along with no TV income from televising their games.

Taggart should have changed his not in my lifetime speech to their demise. Yet here he is, witnessing it in his pissed up lifetime.

He as another one, who thought the rags' supremacy would go on for years and years.

The deluded, old, pissed up twat.

Gotta hand it to old Pisscan though, he's done exceptionally well

to stay alive for as long as he has
