Assisted dying

The bill is shit and will be no help to lots of people who face years and years of simply 'existing'.
However, i can't see how it is being 'rushed' through?
It's a step in the right direction. I like you would have gone further.

What annoys me is the religious nature of the campaign against this. The arguments you here are about coercion etc. But the reality is that this is issue is held back by religious types who can't be honest about there motives.

The issue itself is very straightforward however busy cunts want to stop other people doing what they feel is right with their own lives.
Its very straightforward for some on both sides of the argument, for a lot of people it isn’t. You can only speak for yourself, as can anyone.

The main people I have heard is people with a disease saying well I don't want to end my life I don't think it's right.

Don't do it then fucknut but you don't have the same pain and mental state as others so your opinion is just that, your opinion.

It's barbaric people want to force others to suffer greatly, wankers.

My whole point is allowing people to speak for themselves, it's their life.

Nothing wrong with that at all, but I’d like to know before making it legal there are enough checks and balance in place and that all the medical professionals involved are comfortable with whats happening. I haven't got enough knowledge of the bill and the nuances of it to say, and Im sure there are others in the same boat.

You actually think with all the palaver around this they haven't thought enough about the checks, really ?

Can't make this shit up, dickhead politician just said well they can commit suicide, that's the kind of nasty shit we are dealing with.

I honestly hope you will never need to know

The responsibility put on two professionals is not fair at all. I agree with assisted dying but it feels like the onus is being put on the consultants. Would anyone in the world like to do that job?

Allowing the terminally ill to die peacefully , really really fuckin radical.

Goes nowhere near far enough. No one who profoundly, long term, does not wish to be here, for any reason at all, should be forced to throw themselves off a tall building , into the path of a train or slowly strangle themselves to death.

Still some way to go, the Lords will discuss it to death. I was very sceptical at the beginning thinking we would not make this progress, so I am surprised and happy at the vote. It’s a start. My own MP, Labour, voted against.

I wouldn't want to give a paper boy the job if I'm being honest:-)

What annoys me is those who can't understand that objecting to the barbarity of state assisted killing does not mean you are religious.
