Really enjoyed this, Kevin Kline, Leslie Manville, Cate Blanchett. Sacha Baron Cohen.

Superb story and great acting.

Just finished first season of the Last Kingdom. I cannot believe I missed it when it was out. Brilliant stuff, if you liked the Vikings, then this is kind of telling the same tale but from the Saxon perspective. Alternates from light humour to hard gore to quite deep moments. The storyline also goes on massive curveballs from what would be expected from foreshadowing. It is quite fast paced for a series of this genre too. The episodes are over an hour watch time and pretty much have major shit going on in every one. The first three episodes are very fast paced and scene setting to get straight into what is coming. The main conflict of it all is religion of course. Looking forward to watching the second season.

I've had this marked in my 'to watch' list for a while now but never got round to it. I'll certainly watch it so thanks for the info

All the series are excellent and then there is a final film that finishes all off in a satisfying way. I watched it twice now

Finished Dept Q last night. From a very promising beginning, particularly Matthew Goode's character, it descended unfortunately into formulaic, tired cliché. And even by the standards of crime mysteries, an utterly preposterous plot.

Just finished echo 3
American women in Columbia kidnapped by drugs barons and the attempt to rescue her
Dark deep and lacks action in some eps but I really liked it, last two eps had me on edge.

Just finished Mo on Netflix.

Almost unbelievable to think that thus was made and released given the state of the US today. Well done to all involved.

Lots of Mo is over-dramaticised in style but that's ok imo. What is important (besides it being a mostly entertaining storyline) is that it represents a view that we rarely if ever see.... that of the oppressed of the modern age.

Most of my generation grew up with huge respect and admiration for the oppressed of many years ago. For example the Irish during the famine or the Jews during WWII or the Blacks in Southern US. But this show represents today's victims and to think that it barely scratches the surface of tge past few years.

I can't imagine how ashamed any Israeli would be watching this if they were genuinely humane.

100% recommend.

Finally got round to finishing Severance S2. Enjoyed it on the whole but preferred the 1st series. Gutted that its gonna be over a year until the next episode.

This City is Ours.

Load of Scouse bollocks. Managed half hour.
If they cut the soppy moments between that pasty ginger girl who always wears suits and Michael then we could have got the series over and done within 4 episodes.

Mobland, enjoyed it and defo worth watching but fuck me if they’d toned down fucking Brosnan and Helen Mirans parts I’d of enjoyed it a lot more.
