Running thread

I have a few pairs of Rahhint socks which came recommended when I started running, and although I don't know any different, I must say that they're very supportive and apparently have something in the design that supports the base of your calf/achilles

I think this is actually a really useful video, as i imagine this is something that a lot of people don't pay much attention to (or just dont consider), but happily pay a fortune for their trainers
Ah, thanks fella.

The Rahhint look very appealing - I'll put them on my shopping list. Thanks for the tip.

Kipyegon is attempting to be the first woman to run a 4 minute mile. Live on Amazon Prime tomorrow and I believe Nike youtube.
Yep should be a good watch, I think it's a huge ask to knock 10 seconds off the current best, but just like kipchoges sub 2 there's a lot of work gone into it, I'm guessing they will have the lights around the track for her to chase which has to be an advantage as well

I've been running twice a week over the past few weeks and really enjoying it. Being 110 days alcohol-free has made a huge difference, it's been a major boost in helping me get back into a solid routine. I spent five days in Palma last week and got back late Friday, but still managed to wake up early Saturday for a 5K, then followed it up with a 4-mile run on Sunday. That’s the longest I’ve run in a while, feeling motivated to keep it going!

Good man, keep it going it only gets better, and kudos on the 110 days, boozing is for gobshites nowadays, the 1990s are over!!

71 foc here, no serious exercise for 50 years…C25K Week 5 Run 1 completed…..comfortable work out……..make sure I do indoor warm up/warm down & 5 minute walk before & after…..

Either one day or two day rest in between depending on weather & how I feel

Anybody not sure, give it a try & you’ll be glad you did!

Grats on the no alcohol thing. I'm 2.5 years in and it just keeps getting better. The freedom of going out and being content with not drinking is oddly empowering.

952 days alcohol free…..best thing I’ve ever done stopping drinking, feel better, sleep better, save money and have so much more energy.

well done DT keep it up

Still a WR, not that it will stand, Nike are just jinxed

Should put to bed any attempts for a long long time, spikes, clothing, arguably the greatest middle distance runner of all time and not even close.

Anyone gets near that in the next few years, there has to be questions asked.

I'm debating giving up the drink for good. Feel loads better not waking up rotten on a Sunday. I don't think I'd make the October half but its an aim just maybe a few months to soon

Manchester? Thought it was sold out?

If your needing a running partner give me a shout, only up the road.

I'm a few days off 6 years no booze. So much better for it, more so so can spend my weekends with the kids
