Is there any reason why the doubles is referred to as the Gentlemen's, whereas the singles is (I think) referred to as the mens'?

Just as I predicted that Pel was the week link, absolutely made up for our lads the way they blitz through their semifinal gave me great confidence in them to win today.

On the Wimbledon website both are listed as Gentlemen’s singles and doubles. It’s just Wimbledon tradition I guess. :-) I like tradition. :-) But I am old fashioned!

Paid £70 for No.1 court tickets on Thursday on Row.Z which was in the shade and a great view at the back of the court.

I'd say that they were slightly dearer for today!

It helps if you have the vaguest understanding of tennis. It’s Agassi, FFS, and he was brilliant.

I do have the vaguest idea of tennis, going all the way back to the likes of Rosewall, Newcome, Laver and Nastase etc. Forgive me for not recognising a players voice who's last grand slam win was over 20 years ago. I do agree, however, he was a brilliant player. Far better player than a commentator.
