PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It says that, as a homegrown player, the money is pure profit from a purely PSR/FFP perspective. It says nothing, nor does it infer, unless one is so inclined, the sale is necessary from a PSR/FFP perspective.
Well phrased.
It is easy to forget our owner invested in City so will make profit wherever he can.
Others have to be guided towards normal practice with rules.

im sure there are conditions in the contract if it doesnt go our way
There are always break clauses in long term contracts, BUT there is not a chance that PUMA would be signing a ten year £1bn deal, with direct quotes from their CEO lauding City, if they thought there was even the slightest chance of us being guilty of accounting fraud etc. It is the hardest of soft signals.

Like a semi-on, financially speaking.

Though it suggests that is the reason for the sale, which I expect is totally wrong - it's just time for him to move on and get first team football somewhere.

It doesn't suggest anything at all, it merely states facts. If you go looking for & expecting conspiracies then you'll find them everywhere.

Cant help feel that I've said everyone gets too wound up by media articles and then maybe I'm being pulled up for it.... :D

I dont think this one is a big one either way tbh, but I'd say that when it says "with an eye on generating pure profit from a PSR and FFP perspective", it is suggesting that's the reason for the sale.

Loads of transfers last season between Villa, Everton and Chelsea in particular were aimed purely for this purpose, if McAtee moves it won't be the reason, just a 'normal' benefit.

Are we skint as this has just come up on the Beebs website from Football Insider

"Manchester City will sell England Under-21s midfielder James McAtee, 22, this summer with an eye on generating pure profit from a Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and Financial Fair Play (FFP) perspective."
