Saw Johnny Marr supporting New Order in Wythenshawe park last year and he was sensational, perfect for a big outdoor Manchester crowd.

He's just announced a headline gig at Co-Op funnily enough, expect it will set out double quick. Some of his solo stuff is superb, well worth a listen.

Looks to me that they've fenced it off at the top. Nothing to stop you climbing over the fence at the bottom of the hill and walking up the field

I think it's likely because it was becoming more of a security issue and likely could have hundreds and hundreds more each time.

Inevitable once it started getting shared all over socials. You could genuinely get about 50k trying to get on that hill and it could be a disaster.

Johnny Marr supported Oasis in 2000 in Bolton as did the Happy Mondays. That was quite a line up.

I was just replying to your comment to say that there has been plenty of people in this thread coming on to say they don't like Oasis. I guess you've not read much of the thread and so weren't to know. It's been mentioned a few times that people can't help themselves and that they get a kick out of the negativity. Not just on this thread but plenty of others too.

Try the top of Crumpsall Lane mate. About a 15 minute walk to the park from there.

I live really close to the park and it's been really busy after the gigs. You might want to try and get a cab from the Friendship pub at the bottom of Scholes Lane. It's about a 10 minute walk from the park.
