Tino Livramento

Well obviously our scouts manager and hierarchy think differently.
The same ones that didn’t get a Rodri cover until after he done his ACL. The same ones that didn’t get a proper LB for a decade ?

Whoever made the decision it’s the wrong call as it stands.

No not at all. We still need to get rid of 5 foreign players if we were to sign 1. So that restricts us to home grown or nothing until we get rid of a bunch.
We need to get rid of 5 players even if we are to sign a HG right back.

But one of the 5 moved on can then be a HG playe like Grealish or Stones.

This is on City mate. If Newcastle are quoting astronomical £100m - £130m prices, I'd understand City's reluctance, but media reports are stating they value Tino at £80m & that City are willing to pay £50m.

£65m plus add-ons should be enough to start serious dialogue between the club's. City must view a 22 year old Livramento as a long-term acquisition to replace Walker who we bought 9 years ago for £50m+.

In view of this, a relative bid for Tino at £65m plus add-ons makes complete sense to me. Livramento's had enough opportunity to kiss the Newcastle badge & say he's going nowhere & Newcastle have had enough time to say Tino's not for sale at any price. Neither has happened.
All fair.

Other than maybe that 65m figure which is something you have made up yourself.

Nothing other than the numerous reports that we wanted to sign him.
In fairness, there has been very little of that. It has mostly been just wishful speculation on here, and an itk pop-up here and there.

In fact there have been more reports that we are Not trying to sign him, that Newcastle don't want to sell him, and that he is being offered a new contract, than that we want to sign him.

Nah, its been well reported we were after him before CWC:

Its quite clear we and Newcastle had a huge discrepancy in evaluation. Looks like either Tino's agent put some pressure on Newcastle and lower the fee or its not gonna happen at all.

But I agree with those, who do not want this one to slide and 65 m+add on's is more than justified.

That is quite a restrained claim though, which is my point. Usually when there is real attempts, you get all the 'personal terms agreed' claims etc, there has been nothing of the sort yet

I've seen nothing to suggest that Newcastle want to sell or have set any price. Certainly nothing that suggests they would take anything like £65mill or we would go anything near what they would ask.
Also not seen anything from anyone saying he wants and is pushing to leave.

If you’re gonna go to those extremes, I think the XI you put up is better XI Barcelona 2015 and Doku Is better than Prime Ronaldinho and Marmoush reminds me of Maradona in 86 and yeah, Nunez at RB plays like Maicon under Mourinho.
Listen, no one’s saying we are shite, we have a very good squad, but I just believe that it’s no longer the best XI in the league or UCL, Madrid, Barca, PSG, Arsenal and Liverpool teams are all slightly better right now, once again that’s just my opinion.
Nunes at right back playing like Maicon at city would be a start

What if City have floated a figure in the £65m ballpark and it’s been deemed unacceptable. We may have been told, come back with an offer that starts with an 8. What do you expect the club to do? I guess we just wait and hope Newcastle relax their stance and quietly look elsewhere- which is what we seem to be doing.

Speculation seems to be the order of the day at the moment.

To be fair the original point was someone asking if we'd even made an enquiry.

And it's pretty obvious that City have asked what it would take to get him, even if we didn't like what we were told.
