PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Susanna Dinnage was the first choice. She was named to replace Sudamore but changed her mind just weeks before being due to take over the role. Tim Davie, chief executive of the BBC, was another who turned the job down.

Probably both were approached being asked to compromise their business ethics by cartel members, they declined so left after taking a wedge never to talk about their experience in public.

Now that's a tin hat moment :)

The widespread belief is that the IC will reach its verdict and announce it in its own time regardless of the convenience or interests of City or the PL. Yet today the Supreme Court is to pronounce today on a case concerned with undeclared commission in finance agreements to cover car sales, but the SC's ruling will not be announced until 5 minutes after the Stock Exchange closes (and it will not re-open until Monday morning). The reason for this is that the SC's decision could have a massive impact (running into billions) on the largest financial institutions in the country.

It appears that the judiciary do not operate in a world quite so removed from all others. Whether the difference (if there is one) between our case and the SC's is simply one of scale is a matter for conjecture, or whether the timing of our award may take into consideration the need for the PL to prepare to repair massive damage ...

Fucking hell, it must have been a compromised role if he was happy to take up the main job at nonce central but not the PL.

Dinnage initially agreed but then changed her mind right before starting, cant think why.......................

bohm is one of my greatest heroes.
(i am an artist trained as a theoretical physicist.
his words make sense in both my worlds)

in point of fact,
a few years ago i recommended his book "on creativity" to gdm for his son to read (which i am sure he will confirm by simply calling me a **** of somesortorother)
GDM clearly read it, as he's created a fake persona of a knowledgeable and erudite legal person, when really he's a filing clerk for a personal injury claims firm.

Does he think it’s coincidental that both Pacqeta & City have been charged & cleared of the main charges due to no evidence of wrong doing.

Anyway, I thought he’d been sectioned.
The non co-operation is such a pile of shit, its like someone asking you to pass them a knife so they can stab you. Thought also only UEFA fined us once for non co-operation due to the leaks coming from them.
If we get this charge from the PL, i hope the club fight it and goes public with any shit they have on the investigation and leaks/cartel etc

If they knew City were fucked they wouldn't spend half as much.

If they know City have been proven to have done nothing wrong they're at panic stations thinking "FUCK! City are gonna come at us with everything they got! BUY EVERYONE! Strengthen the squad! We must stop another ten years of City dominance!"

There's no need to spend this much if City would no longer be a threat to them following a guilty verdict.
I read this paragraph with music playing in my head.

The type of music they play in these Armageddon style movies, where everybody is running around in a blind panic waiting for the inevitable asteroid to strike.

Yep, Dinnage accepted in Nov 2018 and changed her mind on the 30th of Dec 2018 before actually taking over in 2019. It was leaked that undue influence by a small handful of clubs was the reason given by one of the 3 but never confirmed which (if true).

I think it was Dinnage who suggested that certain clubs had too much influence. We know who they are, of course.

Well you talk about how Khaldoon would handle it differently, but like City’s and Everton’s individual cases aren’t really comparable the same is true for Masters and Khaldoon.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak

-Khaldoon is a very astute and successful businessman.

-He has the ear and confidence of the Abu Dhabi Royal family.

- he is the CEO of Mubadala investment group which manages ~$230bn

- he is highly celebrated, being awarded a CBE as well as similar accolades in Korea, Italy, France and being given freedom of the city of London (I’d love him for a laugh to drive his cattle through there as is his right now)

- Khaldoon sits at the highest of tables. Earlier this year was on a deliberation brokering a deal with no other than the President of the US

He is a very impressive man and I could go on and on with his successes.

For comparison

Richard Masters

- went to school in Solihull.

- clearly has a healthy appetite.

Genuinely difficult to find any successes he has outside of being gifted the PL job after being interviewed by the rags and dippers.

But further to my point these 2 aren’t comparable, it’s like comparing a 3 legged donkey to a champion race horse.
Or Hojlund to Haaland?
