PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Surprised nobody has picked up on this yet.

That’s a very good shout. It would explain a lot if true. It still seems total madness for the PL to launch a four-year investigation after we had been cleared by CAS.
The threat doesn’t have to reflect their real intention, just scare Masters half to death.

How sickening was it seeing him sat there around Albert Dock in Liverpool with the Prem Trophy with red ribbons on. Talk about being up Liverpool's arse FFS. He wouldn't even hand out the trophy to City
I'd imagine a big part of that decision was knowing how unwelcome he would have been by both club officials and fans. The shithouse knows he's hated at City and made a wise choice to stay away.

The official line is that we are waiting for a verdict and I'm struggling to believe it isn't true. Conspiracy theories of why we are waiting have come and gone, waiting for the end of the season, waiting for the WCC to start and then waiting for it to finish, waiting for the team to be back in the UK etc. etc. etc. Whatever the truth of it do you think if someone asked him directly he would say "well since you ask...."
No I wouldn't have expected a yeh or ney but he would have had to mumble something without a degree of embarrassment.

Yes.

I think we can safely say that our relationship with the premier league is on the tense side.

It probably won't be that long before the club requires a mediator to liaise with Masters.

I wonder what their legal advice was. We know the PL ignored a crucial piece of their own legal advice in the APT case and subsequently broke the law. The APT Judges condemned them for it. Did they do the same in the 115 case?

Pretty convinced that any same person would realise that charging us won't affect them joining a superleague if thats their intention. The question there is, is that their intention anyway?

If they plan on joining a superleague they will do it.
It’s a threat, not necessarily their real intention. It would put the wind up Masters.

There's a undeniable connection between the 2 cases and that is the credibility of the PL.
How could they think City's lawyers would not pick up on the bias of APTs.

Suspect that this was an existential threat presented to the PL. We've de-railed the financial gravy-train promised to 4 or 5 Clubs when the PL was established and those "chosen" Clubs will do anything to get that gravy-train back on track.

Monumental and avoidable fuck-up by the PL but they needn't look for any sympathy nor understanding from us as they clearly sold their soul to Sky and chose to enter a murky world of corporate greed over fairness and sporting integrity.

As my man Paul Weller once said - "you made your bed, you'd better lie in it"
Any time soon Richard's Masters will have to go underground
